Eh, the nature of most sports related message boards. We do it as dolphin fans when other teams sign our free agents. You guys are too sensitive sometimes.

This looks like a game of chicken that ended up in a collision. It only feels good if you win.

Lets not forget who hyped up Shabazz first, it was Lebron calling him the best point guard in college basketball.

I loved napier because i picked UConn ML the whole way through the tournament when they were dogs in all of the games and he and boatright delivered cash.. Kept riding it till it died lol but his nba career is pretty much the opposite of what he did in the tournament

Yep. Pretty much sums it up. There are probably 10-20 posts on here about how good a heat summer league guy looks. Didn't see anyone say anything. I say I like a guy in summer league...

I should start being more of an a##hole on here when people get things wrong....like when they said Lebron ain't leaving, Gerald green is going to be a great signing, mroberts is going to be a great signing, Harden sucks( player's MVP choice), Wade is great one second....Wade is an old diva, and a liability once he leaves town.

    Yes they are too sensitive.

I'm normally the one that reminds these folks of their behavior....and when the tables are turned its time to call me a troll.

But I enjoy this silly game, although I like to think I'm unbiased when it comes to my sports teams....but, I'm sure they do to.

You completely missed what I was saying apparently. There's nothing wrong with talking about someone playing well in summer league. The point I tried to make was that you can't exactly waive a victory flag about a guy being "a steal" based off of summer league.

Good for Harden. Dude's getting paid and Houston will do whatever to make him happy. Underrated organization. Had they been able to sign Bosh, the league landscape would be pretty different.

Victor Rudd and David Walker showing why Heat should try and keep them around a little longer. Especially Rudd who is more consistent than the rookie Walker.

Looks like Larry Sanders is coming back to the NBA and guess what team hes hinting to sign with? The warriors of course..

Why even watch the nba if everyone is going to jump on the same bandwagon

Heat signs Wayne Ellington to 2 year, $12 million deal

Interesting that they went to 2 years and tied up space for next year

But Ellington is a floor spacer and a multiple times RSHK, so I like the signing

So, right now Whiteside/Bosh?/Justise/J-Rich/Dragic, with Ellington, Williams, UD, McUseless as the known reserves. Am I missing anybody?

Interesting that they have him a second year. I wonder if it's front-loaded or if there's a team option.

It's a shooter, though, which they badly needed. I expect UD and Udrih, with hopefully Reed to round out the rotation.

As reported here, Ellington was one of their original targets. I think they went a little farther to secure him.

    I like these two signings.

Spot-up type, which was needed. Signing Ellington make it less likely we match for TJ?

They also signed James Johnson. I have no idea who that is and Miami went 7 games against the Raptors last year, so...

Also, apparently there's a trade bonus in TJ's offer sheet. I wouldn't go anywhere near that deal. Plus, if he wanted to be in Miami, he'd have just taken the same deal at a flat rate with the Heat. He didn't. And he's also tweeting about feeling anxious, so I'm guessing he wants to leave.

Physical player, good as a small ball #4, but he is not a good shooter. Just plays athletically

James Johnson I already know what he is, very scrappy physical player, fights for rebounds.. He's here on a 1 year deal, to fill in the roster and use some of that money..

Derrick Williams and Wayne are the ones I'm interested in, and this looks like the type of signings our head scout did a lot of homework with Erik Spoelstra to see if there's something they can do to develop these players and turn them into an asset.

For all the hurt involved in this off season, I bet the scout staff are licking their lips because they get to buy a bunch of their favs and get playing time for previous favs that have already been acquired.

It's like a fanspeak mock draft, NBA version. Someone's got wood for Wayne Ellington. Someone's got wood for James Johnson. Someone's got wood for Derrick Williams. Josh Richardson has a chance to be a legit superstar. Justise Winslow too. They get Briante Weber and Rodney McGruder up from D-Leagues and both have a chance at playing. They're trying to secure Willie Reed, another binky. They're probably going to try and secure Jarnell Stokes with an under the table multi year guarantee so that he will wait until December.

Basically the scout staff are saying, give us eight more whacks at the bat, we're gonna hit another homerun like we did Hassan Whiteside. And that only becomes possible when you clear cap space and floor space.

The Heat have a superstar returning in Chris Bosh, an emerging superstar in Hassan Whiteside who was 3rd in DPOY voting, a PG who is top 10 at his position, and two second year players who got big minutes all last year. Both of those players have All NBA Defense capabilities, and one(Richardson) showed the kind of shooting and athleticism that makes you think he could be a legit superstar.

The starting lineup is very solid. Whether we have a great team or an okay team depends upon our role players, but I really don't see a way that the Heat aren't a playoff team next season if Bosh is healthy.

I wouldn't go that far. We had stigmata hit us in 14'., and we still only missed the playoffs by 1 game.

Without Bosh, they will push for the 8th seed. With him, they win 45, and who knows..with luck?

Transition year for sure, with low expectations, but a great place to be in during a rebuild.

Our 15 win season was tough to watch, I am fine with this season. I know what we are - 35 win team. I'm excited to watch our team develop the young guys and the free agents we signed.

Heat look like a 35 win team right about now IMO. Thats not a slight, its simply an opinion.
