what has become of Jordan with the NFL reinstatement procedure? I've lost track & can't find any new information. would love to see Dion at L/B with Kiko. would put to rest many issues if he would return & play to potential.

Even if he makes it back and is reinstated, I have serious doubts he will sustain it. He's worth taking the risk given his talent level, but I strongly feel like we will get burned again and will regret it. Sounds like the management doesn't have faith in him either

I have little doubt that when/should Dion return it will be to play football at its highest possible level. he is a beast & already familiar with the position & Kiko Alonzo. sweet: Jelani Jenkins, Koa Misi, Kiko Alonzo, Dion Jordon

Jordan is due a $1.7 million roster bonus on the 5th day of Training Camp. So even if he is reinstated is that enough time to make a decision on him?

ask Kiko, he seems to be pretty big on the guy. as for me, I think Dion is more than worth it.

If he plays great, if he doesn't then oh well. I have no expectations whatsoever with Jordan. He probably doesn't deserve another chance here but considering what we paid to get him we kind of have to give him another chance to try and get something for the draft picks we wasted on him.

I hope he turns out to be worth that 1st round pick, but I am not holding my breath on this one working out.

I feel like Miami ends up cutting Jordan. He didn't look good in any of the workout videos posted and I feel like part of this is just him making a money grab.

He's physically gifted, but lacking in talent, he wasn't that good in college and worse in the pros, at this point, he's like an UDFA.

Like a beast? If you're referring to the posted videos, I've worked out harder doing an Insanity workout.

    Like a Beast???

The workout videos I saw showed him in very bland shape. And, most of those workouts he was doing in those videos I could do at that pace. And, I'm more than twice his age.

I question his actual commitment. I think he saw that $1.7 M bonus coming up and waited beyond the 1 year period to request reinstatement. And, then, late in the game, he starts working out. He has talent and athleticism if in shape and with his head right but I have serious doubts this year. I think we'll cut him within a day or two of his reinstatement unless we see him, work him out, and discover he's in peak condition. Then, he could stay.

He is NEVER going to be worth the 1rst round pick. It's just not going to happen. He wasn't great when he was playing, and he's missed a ton of time. I'm of the opinion that expecting anything out of him is a pipe dream. Expecting 1st round pick production is a fairy tale.

I agree. I think there is a better chance he ends up on the 49ers roster than the Dolphins roster before the season starts. He had his chance in Miami and really never showed much, except on very rare occasions.

I think Kelly might be willing to send a 6th or 7th round pick to Miami for Jordan. There was speculation the Dolphins were going to trade Jordan to the Eagles before he was suspended last season. So hopefully Kelly will still have an interest in a player he recruited while at Oregon.

Anything they hey can get for Jordan at this point is better than getting nothing for him.

For a player who will be an asset to the team, Ross has proved that money is no object. The problem when it comes to Jordan is, I'm not sure he is worth one dollar seventy cents as an NFL player, much less worth $1.7 million.

It is plenty of time. It would take me all of 5 minutes to cut him. In fact, I would take that $1.7 million and hand it to Reshad Jones. Why? I could not care less where you are drafted or what we gave up to get you; I care about your performance on Sundays and your actions.

Reshad Jones is the type of problem I would gladly have on my team. The type of problem that consistently exceeds expectations on the field and wants to be compensated for it. The guy was a 5th round pick who parlayed that into a big contract and then outplayed that contract. Yup, I'd rather give him $1.7 million than a guy who has consistently put his childish desires over the team and has produced nothing on the field.

But yeah, let's just keep paying DJ for potential.... SMH

Jamarcus Russell tried multiple comebacks too.... and failed, I expect nothing from Dion Jordan, the fact this guy gets all these threads on here and all this energy wasted on him is quite sad.

If he applied on Wed June 1st as was the supposed expectation then convention suggests a response from the league by Mon August 1st (more or less).

Still nothing in any of those videos to indicate he's in any better shape than a slightly above average guy at the Y. Certainly not that he's doing some beastly workouts. It's not even showing how much is on that bar ...

And, still wearing those loose fitting T's, ;)

This all seems to be hype more than reality. But, we'll see ...

After looking at those pics and videos, Imo he looks to be around 265 -270 it looks to me like his body was sedentary for the time he was out...he's got about 7 weeks, it's been talked about a lot, but I think he's best suited to execute responsibilities that require running tracking and covering..like a Leo role..I believe Dion likes to see the whole field in front of him and react..

I'm gonna stay hopeful here and just be a fan, he's working out, he said he wants to return, if he screws us so be it.

Dion is a natural world class athlete... he can get in shape pretty fast..

We allowed Ricky back after he was on vacation in a tipi in India for 2 years smoking herb... and it turned out very good for us.. I think we'll be fine with Dion..

His girlfriend's twitter feed has some pictures that I do not think Galant posted. It seems Dion is surrounded by a sports-oriented family with his girlfriend's father a MLB player and coach and her brothers are college WRs.

The question with Dion is that he does not have the burning desire to be great and if his athletic advantages are good enough to improve the team. I think they are as he's a jack of all trades that can make special teams and 2 minute defense better. He is a difficult player to project as he is not an aggressive, attacking player, while his coverage ability compliments such players. In other words, his contributions may happen after an offense takes away the aggressiveness of Wake and Williams by widening the field and chase runners and receivers in the flat.

The silver lining of Dion's suspensions is that his future contracts are likely year to year. He was over-drafted and overpaid, but if he can extend the careers of Wake and Williams, then the Dolphins will benefit.

"Even if Jordan is activated and returns to the team for the start of camp, it will be hard for him to stick around. He must prove he is worthy of a spot on the team and must do so almost instantly because the Dolphins must pay him a $1,690,209 bonus if he is on the roster the fifth day of training camp.Giving Jordan that bonus is not a slam dunk. And the only way the Dolphins avoid paying that bonus is by cutting or trading Jordan before the fifth day of camp. So those are distinct possibilities.
There is disagreement within the organization whether Jordan deserves that bonus after serving a one-year (so far) suspension for violating the NFL's substances of abuse policy." LINK

Eh. I mean if he;s cheap enough to give a shot in TC then we should do it. Tired of other teams scooping up our players and them playing great. Ok. maybe that hasn't happened in a while but I'm still getting over the Welker thing. Ellerbee did pretty well after us as well.
