I believe Gase said he expects him to be ready for the 1st preseason game in the press conference today. Just had his knee scoped at the end of mini camp.
I'd love to say I'm surprised that we have an early draft pick on this team with an injury problem this year... but uh... I'm not. What is it with second round picks around here? That sucks. He has some upside, and we needed him badly in that thin secondary.
I have felt all along that the secondary is going to be a major concern for the Dolphins this year. Other than Jones, you have a huge question mark at every other position in the secondary, IMO. Now with Howard likely to miss the entire preseason and him just being a rookie. It will probably be late in this season or the 2017 season before we will know if he can be a productive player for the Dolphins or not.
