Yeah he was pretty bold in how he was defending Tannehill. He was basically saying to me that if you don't like how I'm dealing with Tannehill or if you don't like Tannehill, you know where you can go...

    But thats my opinion.

    Or how about these two??

This is what Tannehill needs. A competent, smart head coach, who's not to queasy to have his back, and make it public knowledge.

Yeah even though they didn't say it, Gase punked a reporter (most likely Omar Kelly) who commented against Tannehill. I wish I was there to witness it.

As a big Tannehill supporter, I love it. Its been 20 years since we've had a coach and QB on the same page. Think about that. Its about damn time. And really, there is zero downside for Gase in handeling things exactly the way that he is, even if its not how he actually felt in his heart. The verbal smackdown of Omar that was alluded to is icing on the cake

Best Phins news I've heard in months. Gase is that good, imo, the real deal. He and Tannehill have to build some rapport, and I really do think he'll get the as much as he possibly can out of Tannehill. The success of so many teams often comes down to the HC-QB duo and how they work together.

    Well away from here
Some guys need to know someone has their back. Some guys don't give a **** as they have their own.

Tanner ill doesn't strike me as the latter, so it may help. That wasn't the normal coach speak though.

"This week even, when the Los Angeles Rams (sorry St. Louis, but it is cool to be able to write that) cut quarterback Nick Foles, a contingent of Dolphins fans made the case that their team should sign the free agent to replace Tannehill.

They made that case mostly in my email inbox, on my Miami Herald blog and in my social media feed. Those fans should know a head coach trying to show his commitment to his starting quarterback would be begging controversy by signing someone who could be perceived as a replacement."

...idiots. I mean I know there are some dumb fans out there but this is some of the dumbest crap I've ever read in my life.

Otherwise good to read about Tannehill and Gase.
