the big uglies need practice reps & the rest of the pre-season games to develop timing & chemistry. they need to play every snap well into 2nd quarter. hopefully, we'll begin the installation sooner than later. the time for experimentation is over. we need to focus on these players now. everything begins in the trenches. this is the most fundamental & important decision to be made this season & it is a time sensitive no-brainer decision. where are the coaches? its time to quit vacillating & coach this offensive line to potential.

Yes...but, injuries happen, and it's good to be able to swap out players, so some variation should, must, be expected.

    * we already have a thread for this *

*we already have a thread, and another duplicate that pertains to this topic*..... This minuscule, hardly bold statement of the obvious, should fit right in the current thread about the O-line. Why not start a thread for us to Finally debate the worth of Tannehill while you're at it.

exactly, the problem is depth, and that Thomas and Turner are next up

really? friend P h i N s A N i T y, the statement is unique & stands on its own by virtue of the obvious. the time for experimentation is over. we need to focus on these players now. everything begins in the trenches. it takes 4 to 10 weeks for a set offensive line to acquire its rhythm. no more excuses... these are our five best. it's time for coaching, coaching & coaching!

Actually ....this was exactly what Others and even myself alluded to in the "shuffling the o-line" thread...

With all due respect, there is 1 more week to go before this should happen.

Armando agrees with you and so do I. When was the last time we had a line with 3 of the 5 having been to the Pro Bowl?

I would prefer for this season that we do not shuffle Tunsil around if there are injuries. If Albert goes out, I'd put Bushrod in his place. I doubt they do that though.

Not too worried about James missing time. Last year was his first time to miss a game since high school.

I do not compare the Robinson situation to Tunsil, because Tunsil has much better feet. I think with Albert coming off a Pro Bowl season there is no need to move him at this point. Which other college LTs began their NFL career at LG then later struggled when kicked out to LT?

good observation. I guess since it's preseason, you have to play around with positions like you do in camp to see and evaluate
