I was most pleased with the Caroo tweets.

Gase has a bit of Parcells in him when addressing the media. Bill was more menacing, but Gase can make you look silly.

There's no way Tunsil won't start.

Our punter is apparently a wizard.

I wonder who the sacks and interception came against.

yeah, when people there talk about liking to watch him punt, he has to be special.

I do feel the local media has really struggled with adjusting to what seems to me to be a clear difference from previous coaches - at least this first year. There was a constant drive to figure out who is first and second at guard and other positions based on snaps and who got the first snaps, but it seems obvious (and Gase said it outright), that he wanted to see everyone, give everyone a chance, and keep swapping pieces. Essentially, the whole 'who has the starting position' question was rendered unanswerable throughout training camp.

Gase clearly has a defined approach and mentality and no-one in the media seemed to either grasp or believe it.

Yeah, I've been paying attention recently to what Gase is saying in his interviews and some of the questions from the media are getting kind of ridiculous. Sometimes you listen and think, c'mon bro, you asked him the same exact question the last 3 days in a row! First of all, no HC is going to give straight answers to roster questions this far from regular season and secondly, one practice does not change things.

I think media and fans are scared that new coach, might not be seeing how horrible OG is

So when Gase tells the media that his starting QB is Tannehill, he isn't giving a straight answer? That is good to know because perhaps he is really open to starting Doughty this year.

While its only a preseason game, Tannehill looks pretty secure in being the unquestioned starter....Doughty seemed to struggle. I like Doughty, but people seem to be jumping the gun on him. His struggle is making the 53, not starting.
