Might be because of Orton's height but Brock looks a little weak on those suplexes

Yeah it looked like Orton had a razor in his hand and cut himself after the first couple of elbow strikes. Brock attacking him multiple times after the blood plus Shane coming out and getting F5ed afterwards.

After watching that match, all i can think about is Dean's comments about Brock's laziness. And fans are fed up with him.

To think, WWE booked a "no contest" US championship match and a ufc style TKO finish for the top of their card at summerslam. lol... If you can erase the last two bookings, it was pretty good payperview.

The Brock/Orton match's end was fine. It re-established Brock as an unstoppable monster prize fighter. WWE is trying to add a sense of realism to the match.

It's funny people want to see blood so bad again and now that there is blood those people are complaining of a ref stoppage due to the blood.

The PPV was very good overall, from memory better than last year. Cena/AJ was great, Balor/Rollins was really good too. Women's title match and the main event were solid as well. Booking decisions made sense too and nothing I'd really argue with except maybe having Jon Stewart involved yet again, I would have had The Club win the titles but that's probably coming at the next PPV. Only matches I didn't care for was the tag title match, 6 women match and IC title match. Definitely thumbs up for this PPV.

Hes been selectively picking fights with twitter people one by one lol

I am not sure why people still think that Cena doesn't lose cleanly to people. AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio all come to mind from just the past few years.

Sasha Banks has been pulled from touring for the next month. Apparently she needs time to heal up some nagging injuries. This combined with the rumors that Vince feels she is unreliable due to being injury prone and...don't expect Sasha near the top of the card for awhile, imo.

Cena-Styles was the match of the night. Just a tremendous effort that clearly sucked the energy out of the remainder of the card. The tag match was well done right after, but the crowd was dead. Cena and AJ stole the night.

Speaking of the tag match...Cole made reference to Demolition's tag reign being the longest in WWE history tonight. It is about four months off from where The New Day is currently at. It would not surprise me AT ALL to see them hang on to these title and finally erase Demolition from the top of that list, especially considering how much Vince hates Bill Eadie.

Bray Wyatt not being on the card was a complete head scratcher. WWE has completely blown it with that character. I think he is too far gone to recover, unfortunately.

I think I was the only one who liked the Brock-Orton finish, other than Finkle. The spot was clearly supposed to happen. If it didn't they would have cut the feed and never allowed Brock to continue beating on him. The questions is whether or not the blood was hardway or from a blade. My initial thought was a blade because Orton's hand looked jacked up, which can happen when handling a razor to cut one's head. But a close up of the cut itself looks WAY too jagged and messy to be from a blade, and one of Lesnar's elbows did legit land, so it is possible that it was hardway juice, which is called "Browing" when done the way Lesnaer did it (punching/hitting the thin part of the skin on the eyebrow, which is easily opened up upon contact, when done right).

    Miz winning was fine.

Reigns turning heel (I think) was fine.

    JeriKO winning was fine.

It was a good PPV I thought. The crowd was awful, as was the new Universal belt. But you can't win them all, I suppose.

Disappointing how far wrestling has plummeted since the Austin/Rock days.

How can this national pastime be saved? Certainly not like this.

Orton needed 10 staples to close his cut. The pictures posted certainly don't look like a blade job, looks it like was done the hard way. I thought for sure it was a blade job because on 2nd viewing it looks like Orton reaches for something in his tights or knee pad and after Brock delivers the elbows he is in the blading position. Maybe the plan was for Brock to open him up the hard way but Orton had a blade just in case. Either way I'm sure we'll hear whether it was planned or not soon.

Regarding the New Day, I loved their act when they started out but now it seems super stale. I definitely can see Vince wanting to stick it to Demolition but I don't know if New Day has legs to last another 4 months especially with The Club and Enzo and Cass hanging around the tag scene.

And yeah I've pretty much given up on Bray Wyatt too. He was just over exposed and used as a jobber to the stars too many times. The only thing that can possibly help is a face turn but even then I think he's in "Dolph Ziggler mode" where the fans like him but don't believe he will ever win the big match.

Ugh there are reports that Finn Balor was injured last night, his arm was in a sling after the show. The WWE is a bit concerned it could be serious enough that he may need surgery. Hopefully it's nothing too bad because that was just be awful for him and the company.

Since he was Prince Devitt, he has worn body paint and had an....ALTER EGO. He used to be other characters, but due to getting sued, you are not going to see all of them (Batman, The Joker, Venom, Spiderman, etc...)

That Alter Ego shows up at PPV's. It's what it has been, Great.

Yes. That crowd was god awful, but I kinda liked the belt. Similar to boxing how the three major titles have different color straps, Green (WBC), Red (IBF), Black (WBO).

    A) I thought Cena-AJ Styles was the best match and a contender for match of the year.
    B) Sasha-Charlotte are so good together, that I don;t mind seeing it again at a major PPV. But it should be at major PPV's.
    C) I have been critical of Apollo Crews (poor selling, rushed), but this was his best match so far, and the Miz also wrestled his best match in a long time.
    D) I wanted a Rusev-Reigns finish. Not a petulant DQ. My only complaint.
    E) The New Day ....Rocks. I don't GAF how they retain, as long as they retain....till they drop them in an epic match vs. a top team at WM (American Alpha?)
    F) Dean Ambrose is inching toward full blown heel with his mocking of Dolph. Dolph is the best jobber in history. Not a fan of Dean, but he was better in this match.
    G) The Brock-Orton match was GREAT. I tune into Brock matches to see VIOLENCE. It's his character, and to be frank..it's HIM. I want tough guys to challenge Brock to take beatings. He is an attraction, and I love how they book him. The Finish...perfect, although..you want to see a F-5 and a pin..well..ok...a submission while bleeding is ok too. I don;t mind how it ended however. WATCH the match closely. Orton gave Lesnar some receipts, and Lesnar gave them back during the match, and the gash was done the hardway. LOVED IT!

    Possible bookings for Lesnar next?

Two comments I want to make about your post:

    1. I don't like the belt, nothing to do with the strap but it's exactly like the other WWE Title just in "RAW red". Maybe I hate it because there were rumors of them bringing back the winged eagle title design that they used from around 1987 to 1998 but I just think, like the Universal Championship name, the belt is just lazy. They have a million people working for that company and that's the best they can come up with? Hey it's the RAW title so let's just make it red.

    2. Completely agree with your post on the Brock/Orton match. Brock is a fighter, he's brutal and a monster. A finish like that is perfect for him. He doesn't just beat you up and pin you, no he beats you up, makes you bleed so bad that the ref just stops the match.

As far as who's next for Lesnar, that's a great question. I'm guessing we will probably get Lesnar vs. Orton 2 at Survivor Series or the Rumble but after that? There's really no one else on the roster that he hasn't face that would be an interesting match up except for Finn Balor, Samoa Joe or Nakamura. Give me Brock vs. any of those 3 at WM and I will be happy. And no I don't want to see Golberg vs. Lesnar. We saw that at WM20 and the match was awful because neither guy cared and seeing them fight again 13 years later when neither guy will care and are older will just be another train wreck. The only other guy that would make sense would be The Rock or Batista but I don't see either guy coming back at this point.

I wish they had gone with a different design for the Universal Title, just to help differentiate the two brands even further. But it isn't a deal breaker. I don't like the red strap as it reminds me of the women's title, for some reason, but again...it will be fine in the long run.

New Day holding the titles for another four months really isn't out of the realm of possibility, especially when you consider that they really only have to defend them on every other PPV now. It just seems to me that if they are starting to mention Demolition by name, on a WWE PPV in 2016...that they are planning on having them beat that long standing record. And I am fine with that. Their bits are stale, but it wouldn't take much to re-energize them, I don't think. They have too much collective talent and charisma to let that linger.

I don't know where you go with Brock, at this point. The visual from last night leaves you with the impression that Shane is his next conquest, but that presents a LOT of problems (Raw/Smackdown alliances aside). But if Shane is the next victim, I can see how it leads to a much larger storyline of the McMahons trying to stop their own monster in Brock Lesnar. It could be a nice arc going into Wrestlemania, actually. And perhaps a way to finally get Roman Reigns over as a face. Have Brock destroy Shane, Vince, and closing in on Stephanie. Maybe even have him push Paul Heyman off to the side as Paul begs him to stop, and at the last second, Roman runs in, puts the fight to Brock and voila...special attraction match at WM33.

Honestly, I am more concerned with how they rehab Orton. Credit to him for taking that beating, but he came off looking like Brock's *****. That will need to be addressed.

Also...Smackdown has a PPV in three weeks...good luck getting that card to PPV quality, WWE.

Orton will be fine. Brock beat the hell out of Cena at Summer Slam in 2014 and was fine too. Those guys are already established in the fans eyes. Once Orton starts hitting people with RKOs out of nowhere people will forget.

I like the idea of the McMahons getting together to get someone to finally stop Brock. Too bad Triple H already fought Brock 3 times because he would have been a good person to throw in front of Brock only to have Brock beat him too. Reigns makes the most sense though. And honestly I'm starting to come around on him. He's been fine in the ring and has good to very good matches with the right guys. His mike skills still need work but I think he might be fine in the long run after all.

Yeah I agree with you about New Day, it seems odd they would bring up Demolition since they haven't since it seems 1991 on TV. They are probably holding the belts until WM.

Tonight will be interesting. I hope Finn's arm can be something he can rehab and get better in a month or two so that he doesnt just give up the belt.

Maybe they can set something up like a tournament for #1 contender, and the finalist will face each other at Backlash, and the winner takes on Finn in Clash. Hope that is enough time for him to get better..

But if its sonething like a torn rotator cuff, then there is no other choice than to give up the belt because that will take months to heal.. hopefully he can do it in a match and not just drop it like Seth did.. I dont want to see him lose the belt on RAW though.

Balor is giving up the title due to dislocated shoulder and possible torn labrum. Out 6 months at least.

First Sting now Balor maybe Rollins should stop using the turnbuckle powerbomb now.

Also Jericho and Brock got into a backstage yelling and pushing match. Jericho has balls I will give him that.
