For me, not in any order:

    1. Will Drake and Howard play. 2 players with potential huge roles on this team
    2. Can Wake and Williams set the edge; Any push from the middle?
    3. Tackling Improvements
    4. TE play, I think we have to open this up to see that they have. Someone posted earlier that Gase seems to make changes quicker than prior regime. May have a huge shakeup here
    5. Steen and the eventual move of Pouncey to G; just overall better OL play

    For me.

    1. Vanilla bland schemes. With a new Offensive system and defensive system I don't want to give the 'hawks or patsies any film to work out our wrinkles.
    2. Consistent OL play
    3. I want to see a decisive Tannehill.
    4. Some sign of life from the LBs.
    5. No injuries.
    Bonus point
    6. A commitment to the rushing game.

    Paul,
If you want 2/5 then you have to have 1. Meaning for the OL to block well and for us to run the ball, we have to gameplan and scheme. If we continue to shoot from the hip then where is the evaluation?

    Well away from here
I want to see people stop mentioning Pouncey should move to guard, where his lower half strength issues (think hip issues don't affect you power base?), are exposed. He is a combination blocker at best, and should not be left to deal with larger DT's on his own. Pouncey is best on the move and in space, so leave him where he is.

We tried Pouncey at Guard two years ago, and frankly that experiment proved disastrous.

Believing that because 2/10 players can make the transition between Guard and Center seem smaller than a nanometer does not mean it is a ready made cookie cutter approach to improving line play. What we should be hoping for is that our backup center proves capable enough for us to move Pouncey in the off season, freeing up some cap room if you want to see improvement at center. Another thing would be for this team to find a right guard by the start of next season, as we will again see a hole at left guard if Tunsil gets kicked outside with the team hopefully moving on from Albert as well.

So spinning this forward, it could very well mean we again face having to find competent players for two interior positions next year as well along the offensive line.

    1) No major injuries.
    2) See the running game come to life a bit for Ajayi and Foster.
    3) Consistent/better tackling on defense.
    4) Brandon Doughty.
    5) Cameron Wake play a few snaps.

I want to see the affect of game planning from this staff has on the overall play on the field. How you look when you've supposedly prepared will show me whether or not we have there are signs this coaching staff is competent.

They've already shuffled players to try and provide improvement, so that's a start. If only we had that before, we may still have some talent on the team. I still wish we would have resigned Odrick. Versatile player who did the dirty work - whom weve struggled to replace with Jordan Phillips. So far that move has proved to be a reduction in our overall quality.

These. I want Doughty to get some real playing time. More than 1 or 2 series. I want him to play like I know he can.

    way better tackling too!

If the man has bad hips, he has bad hips. Then he is a liability at playing - period. Him at Center hasn't exactly made this line elite. And if he moved to guard, I think it's safe to say the line is better than two years ago. The question remains, Tunsil and Pouney and Steen or Pouncey and Tunsil and Turner? If Steen plays well at Center, then why not have a younger, less-injured player at Center. Maybe the solution is not have Pouncey at all in.

We need a solid backup C because Pouncey has been hurt a lot but when he plays he's one of the best. His Center play is not one of the issues with the team.

Aside from an injury-free game, here's my top-5:

    (1) Can the offense continue it's passing success from last week?
    (2) Can the O-line improve on it's run-blocking?
    (3) Can the front-7 increase its physicality?
    (4) Defensive roster battles at DE & CB
    (5) Offensive roster battles at G & RB

    1. Work on the run game. Run the ball and get some reps in.
    2. Stop dropping the football when the QB puts it in your hands.
    3. Basic tackling: wrap up and finish it.
    4. Hold the Falcons under 20 in the first half.
    5. No injuries.
