With the start of the regular season starting in 10 days, I figured we could have some fun with this thread.. Here's to hoping none of this comes true with the start of the Gase era, but let's go off our recent and not so recent history of pain and suffering.. I'll start - Start the season by shocking the world and eking out a road victory in Seattle! Go to NE week two, knock out Garrapolo and start the season 2-0, on the road, against perennial Super Bowl contenders. Come home to our new stadium full of energy/ hype and get drubbed by the RG3 led Browns, with half the crowd gone by midway through the third quarter - That's so Miami
I dont want to play your game...... lol. How about a flashback to the past..... We start out the season with a high octane offense...........but our defense couldnt stop Plantation High School....(ode to the Marino / Olividotti years)
I've said it before and I'll say it again. We make stars. We helped make Tyrod a star. We helped make Dak a star. You gotta look for who's next. Jimmy G is a good candidate. I say he gets destroyed by the Cards only to bounce back with 4 TDs against the Dolphins in week 2. How about Jared Goff in LA during week 11? He comes on and has his first big game. Let's say he gets his first 4th quarter comeback win in front of his home fans by toasting Tony Lippett and Bobby McCain on deep balls.
Thats So Miami..... We used to make young QBs looks like total ****....so Im going back into the past again...and say..."Thats so Miami.....wreaking havoc on young QBs"
Nothing will ever beat Geno Smith getting a perfect rating against us (arguably worst QB to ever post a perfect rating).
Lol...omg, how could I forget!? Getting your *** kicked by Geno Smith...wow, Miami. Wait...didn't Thad Lewis nearly pull that off as well!? ****... Oh no, wait, he just beat us 19-0 for his 2nd win ever. His 1st victory ever? Earlier that year against Miami, lol.
Lol I love this thread. Cutting players with potential due to players brought in with higher pedigree (Draft picks/FAs) only to see cut players excel on other teams while players we keep become busts. Or bringing in players who look great on other teams only to look average to below average on our team so we finally cut them only to see them play well again like how they did before signing here. Soooo Miami! Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Dante Culpepper comes back to Miami on the road after destroying this franchise and laughs his way to victory! Now that may be the most so miami event in the past 15 years.
After wallowing in mediocrity for decades, scientists use this data to confirm the theory of karma. Citing that there is no greater example of karma than the logarithm of Miami's season record stretched out to infinity..Soooo Miami
Week 1 - Suh, Wake, Williams all go down with serious injuries. Leaving our "Stacked" Dline in pieces and unable to apply any pressure whatsoever to the opposing QBs for the remainder of the season. We go 5-11. Thats. So. Miami.
Jesus. What a bunch of downers on this thread. I mean this games silly but holy crap you guys are negative.
Oh my God...how many times has that sort of thing happened though!? I swear some ex-Dolphin comes back and plays well every couple of years. I'm waiting for John Jerry to win the Super Bowl with the Giants. Here's one...Miami's pass offense comes out looking incredible only to be offset by an O-line that can't run block at all. Miami's one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL and the forum explodes when Incognito helps lead the Bills to be the best rushing team in football and Lamar Miller takes the rushing title, lol.
Soooo.. it's the "Curse of the Marino" instead of "Bambino"? In our case, it's the seeming impossibility of becoming a consistently elite team again since he retired.
In a passing league, it will be the opposing teams second string running backs that gash us all year long. If Isiah Pead, played on a different team...He would gash us for 100+ yards. He may end up actually doing so after we let him go and he signs with the Patriots.
Dolphins open up in newly renovated Hard Rock (or the stadium formerly known as "Joe Robbie", as I still refer to it as) and get smashed by the Browns because half of the team can't hack the heat in So. Fl....something we've used to be known for doing to our competition...
^ Fan comes into thread where fans are commiserating and makes comment about how negative they are.... that's so Miami.
