He talked about the injuries and said that he was in a situation before where the injury report was hugh and he told the players that next year it'd be only 10% of that......when you go back to Cam's first camp you all remember he kept players out of preseason games and they went inside the bubble often...now there's no way to know if that's a reason why we've had all the injuries but at the start of the season I remember how our defence was melting away in the 2nd half of every game....bottom line is that our team hasn't been in top shape overall and that's got to change....I've liked Cam and have supported him but I think that Bill's gonna let him go and I'm fine with that at this point.

    Ozzy rules!!

I remember under Saban, there were several times where I would hear during the game about how extremely well conditioned our players looked. Saban ran a tough camp.

Just think about it this way. 48 sacks in 2006, 47 sacks in 2007. 95 sacks in 2 years under Saban.

This year, we ran a very soft camp. It's not speculation, it's fact. Local Miami reporters noticed and said it, and even our own FinHeaven Scouts that go to training camp have noticed and said it. Our players looked out of shape against the Redskins, Jason Taylor looked like he couldn't take the heat in WASHINGTON.

In 2007 after 15 games, just 30 sacks.

I remember reading a quote from Vonnie Holliday, and he said the one who's working the "toughest" in camp is Ronnie Brown, and guess what, he was our best player and had his breakout semi half season.

Im just hoping we get this seasons new and improved Ronnie Brown back for next season and not a big question mark over his durability. Ronnie Brown is IMO the best player on the squad and its a shame he didnt get whole season to prove it.

I'm hoping for the same with RB. I saw many great things this year from him, and his mental and physical toughness showed that on the field. I just hope he can recover 100% and that we don't send him packing.

Great point, I was wondering when someone is going to bring that up. I think Cam and Mueller are both goners, just a matter of who's gone first.

I thought that the soft workouts were a good idea due to the age of our defense, but it clearly didn't work.

Saban had the best approach, and its clear that Parcells will hire someone that does the same.

We didn't have that many injuries during Sabans years. The second year we had some injuries at the same position (db) and very late in the year on the ol, but overall, relatively few injuries those years

    I hate the damn bubble.

In the early 70's Shula used to run 3 a days in the heat over at St Thomas University ( I think it was called Biscayne University at the time) on a crappy field and not allow water during practice.

Now, we frequently practice in a air-conditioned bubble.

You know, that's just to avoid a heat stroke. Miami in the summer is very intense.

I wonder how much of the conditioning problems is because of this:

Your body gets used to heat but you have to work in it or you won't adjust. The best way to avoid heat stroke is with breaks (they don't necessarily have to be long) and staying hydrated. You can't condition for the Miami heat in a bubble.

Yes. It is our environmental advantage. Remember in 05, when the Broncos were worn out against us in the heat? Thats what Miami needs in order to get off to a good start.

i remember in the day miami was well known for its conditioning, the dolphins would always be a second half team, when the teams went into the AC at half time and came out onto the field during the second half the teams were exhausted while the dolphins were conditioned to it and they could pound the team into submission

now they have gone soft with the conditioning and the phins no longer have that advantage
