Plenty of outrage at that? There are regular protests against violent crimes in communities. Nobody cares and it doesn't garner attention.

  2. Theres actually a substantially higher amount of of white people being shot by the police. My personal tbeory is that its because these racists cops hate white people more than black people

I seriously hope no dolphin players disrespect the flag on 9/11 of all days. It will be enough for me not to watch the game. They all have the right to protest whatever they want when they take their jersey off. However, when that dolphins jersey is on they are at work being paid to perform. They're not being paid to have a political protest. Why don't anyone of you try protesting while at work and tell me how that goes over with your employer.

Not to mention everyone wants to hate on the police, but its a laughable stance. What was the first thing all of those anti cop protestors did in Dallas when the bullets started flying. Oh yeah, they ran behind the police and prayed they would defend their ungrateful asses.

If they're going to hold interlocking arms while standing, I don't know about all you folks, but I don't feel offended by that. Personally, I think that's a respectful way of displaying their commentary

Stop breaking the law and you don't get shot. It's easy. For smart people.

Funny thing about America is that here, the punishment must fit the crime.

Stealing bread, while against the law, doesn't require being shot for example.

    This is US Constitutional stuff.

In all honesty, I just want everyone to stand for the lives that were lost on 9/11 and the lives lost afterwards because of 9/11. Let us be a nation where we all stand together to honor those who aren't fortunate to be here with us. Week two if the likes of Kaepernick (just wants attention as he was about to be cut because he sucks) and whoever else wants to sit then fine be disrespectful and sit because you have that right just don't do it on the most tragic day that brought pain to the many Americans in history.

Please list for us the perfectly legal things we can and can't do on 9-11.

If this day is so important, why in the hairy hell are we spending it drinking beer and eating wings watching millionaires play a game?

Seems to me if we followed that logic, then a better way to respect the victims of 9/11 is a day of quiet reflection with loved ones instead of spilling Cheetohs because Player X crossed an arbitrary line against Player Y.

My wife and I met on 9/11/06. We're going to a water park and relaxing and having fun....is that disrespectful? Why not?

I'll take off my hat, hold my hand over my heart and stand for my country tomorrow. My wife will either sit, or stand with me out of respect, she's Canadian so...

I really don't have a problem with anyone sitting kneeling linked arms whatever's ... that's like trying to tell me how to pray. Until someone becomes obscene or disruptive or violent my friends and I fought for their right to do whatever the flip they want and flip me if I don't like it. For reals

But you don't understand the process, and that's where your error is Fin-D.

If an officer reasonably believes a life is in danger, including his or her own, then force is justified. That's not "punishment", that's self-defense. If a guy is mistakenly believed to have stolen a piece of gum, but he charges the officer, the officer may under the circumstances reasonably believe the guy is capable of grabbing his gun. That's not punishment, that's justifiable force.

Punishment is the sentence given out by the jury, or judge if sitting as the finder of fact.

Which is rarely the case in the ones that make the news. Also, my response was to a specific post.

I've made my opinion loud and clear on this topic in prior threads; I'll defend anyone's right to be right, and anyone's right to be wrong. Do you infuriate me (as Kaepernick did) when you SIT during the national anthem? When you elect to be selfish instead of remembering the sacrifices members of your family, your neighbors, your friends, their relatives made in defending the freedoms and rights our nation has? You damned right it does, but that is your right to do so. You're Welcome!

    That being said...

Today is the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. We as a nation...we as the American FAMILY were victimized and our loved ones were brutally and senselessly taken from us much much too early. I placed emphasis on "family" to ask everyone to consider something.

If you were with your family on the anniversary in which one of your family members were so brutally murdered, would you choose THIS day to complain and fuss and fight and argue because this person or that person of your family does this, that or the other...something you disagree with? Would you really choose THIS day?

Close to 3000 American families lives were forever changed on this date in the blink of an eye. Husbands and wives were lost, soulmates were lost, children were lost, children grew up without mothers or fathers. THEIR lives were forever changed. Members of our FAMILY were forever changed. Some have been able to heal and move forward, others still struggle to do so.

TODAY...let's show THEM empathy and respect. Let's honor them and those whose lives were forever changed by this senseless and brutal murder of our family. As it was mentioned earlier, there's always another Sunday. Let's show a little dignity and respect on this painful anniversary.

Don't post just lurk but I had to for this.
The irony of your post is police choosing who to protect and when to do their jobs is part of the reason people are protesting.

I'm sorry. But saying Kaepernick is "selfish" is down right foolish.

    He's being anything but.

Pofo was closed for a reason.

Also, the idea that sitting during the flag isnt offensive is nonsense. I applaud the giants for being the classiest organization in the league. Their players are wearing red white and blue cleats whioe standing during the national anthem. Thats right, standing. Because no one attends a sporting event to hear an athletes political views. Do that after the game when youre off the clock.
