I can't believe the negativity from some people in here. I'm not big on moral victories, but I think our boys showed us something today against one of the best defenses in football. Who would have thought our d would only allow 12 points and Ryan would lead a big time drive to take the lead in late in the 4th. Sure everything wasn't great but nobody gave us a shot at the win here. A win would have been great but I think we are heading in the right direction. Just gotta clean some stuff up. There are still 15 more games.

This issue is we have a losers mentality. A win there can change the season in a positive way. I loss there gets the players back into that losers mentality. It was an encouraging game, but one we should have won. We win that game and we probably win 10 games on the season, now we will likely have 7-9 wins... Again.

I was with you, up until this part. Sure, on paper and in perception Seattle is the better team. No doubt. They weren't today. We outplayed them, but blew our chances, and had some extra curriculars ignore by the guys in stripes, specifically the holding on that last drive. We should have won this game. But, I see your point, I guess you can claim the better team won, because if we truly played better, we would have won, but we played well enough to win. I strongly believe Gase will use this as a good teaching point. Do your job, trust in this system, this staff, and we'll win. But, you've got to do your job. No bonehead penalties. No FG block. No drops. Etc.. etc... We didn't win today, because you didnt do your job. Clean up the mistakes, we win a game nobody gave us the chance to. It's that simple.

Why is it that 1 loss to a good team makes the players have a losers mentality? They can also use a close loss where nobody gave them a chance as motivation. Only time will tell...

It's just people overreacting, and being emotional to a loss in a game we should have won easily. It happens online.

Fair enough but I was kind of meaning that in a bigger sense. Seattle is a far more successful team that is highly ranked on both sides of the ball. They have one of the best young QBs in the NFL (who seems to have a knack for clutch drives) and a defense that seems strong across the board. Heck, they've gone to the Super Bowl twice in the last few years. They also have a couple of weapons, Baldwin and Graham, that are widely respected and which should be good going forward.

In the gran scheme of things Seattle is the far superior team. In fact, I don't think anyone picked Miami to win. Most people gave them 20% odds or something around there.

If we watch Miami open their season @ Seattle 10 times...I think Seattle would win 9 of those with several being blow-outs, lol. That's what I meant.
