with the lack of offense Sunday, Miami should take a look at him, would be a nice fit for the offense and depth
I would expect no one to claim him, as the team would have to take on his contract. However, signing him as a free agent might happen, given the team's troubles at RB. That being said, Spiller never lived up to his promise at any point, and is 29 years old. He had a great season in 2012, followed by a pretty good one in 2013. Then he got hurt and played poorly in 2014 in his final season in Buffalo, signed as a free agent with New Orleans, and played like crap. Even though the team had injuries all over the place at RB and he was healthy for 13 games, they never gave him the ball. If we bring him in, don't expect a whole lot.
Wow, he is older than I thought he was. Doesn't seem like he's been in the league long enough to be that old...
He's vested so goes to being a free agent immediately. He doesn't have to pass through waivers. I don't think anyone signing him has to take on his salary - just the new contract they agree upon.
23 year old rookie in 2010. One reason I like to stay away from guys like that. Short careers, generally.
against the top defense in the NFL for the past 5 years. With a brand new offensive scheme that players aren't comfortable in yet.
