Game 1 of the 2016 season. Dolphins vs Seahawks Dolphins receive. Drive down field using mostly passing quite efficiently. Around the Seahawks 33 we get cute and start calling run plays. This stalls the drive and we settle for 3. Seahawks return the favor with a strong drive fueled by 5-10 yard passes. Solid sacks from Suh and Williams kills the drive and they also settle for 3. In the 2nd Quarter Miami drives down the field with relative ease and gets to the Seahawk 6. 2 min Warning sounded. Trying (and failing) to punch it in with the run. A short TE dump off is picked off in the endzone. The 43 yard return sets Seattle up with great field position and over a minute to work with. They score. Crap. Dolphins down 3-10 at half. The 3rd quarter are bad drives on both sides. Few punts, nothing to write home about. Late in the 4th Miami finally finds another drive and takes it all the way to the redzone. On a 3rd and 4 at the Seahawks goal, Tannehill runs in the TD with no open receivers. Not settling for a tie, Gase calls for the 2pt play. We catch the TE on the flats for the conversion. Dolphins up 11-10 with 44 seconds left in the game. Here come the Dolphins. Terrible special teams coverage allow for excellent field position at the 38. Two passes with miles after the catch allows the Seahawks to use their final timeout with 2 seconds on the clock from the Dolphins 28. Miami loses 11-13. If this wasnt the most Dolphins *** story I've ever seen I don't know what is. It says two things to me. 1. Madden 17 is super realistic. That story is straight from real life Miami. 2. I'm terrible at Madden. Hi guys <3
Finished my first season with the Fins. Went 11-5, and then got my butt kicked in Denver in the Wild Card round. Could have easily been 8-8. Absolutely the most challenging version of Madden in a long time, and thats great. However, one reason is because there's a huge issue with fumbling, and sliders don't correct it with the QB. Still, if you're on the fence, I'd say make the jump.
I think they F'd up special teams. While I think it's great that you can block kicks now (like there's some tact to it), it happens waaaay too often. And people online are cheesing the **** out of it.
I don't play online, but I've had a lot of issues with the kicking game too. I cannot ever remember having a kick or punt blocked in all my years of Madden, and I had numerous ones this season. And kicking has become so difficult, that I sim all of my FGs and even XPs. I'm hoping they fix it with a patch.
I actually like that they made kicks difficult. It shouldnt be easy imo. I hated that sub 35 yard kicks were pretty much automatic in previous games. I made a 58 yarder and felt like i ruled the world (I lost the game). My problem is with the kick blocking. Happens waaaaaay too often
We'll agree to disagree, lol. I'm of the opinion that the NFL should just eliminate the single point XP, and I'm making that happen in Madden.
I saw. I don't think I'll ever use Miami's. You could make some really, really hideous combinations if you wanted to now though, lol. I might be tempted to dress the CPU in an interesting one sometimes though.
Worth mentioning, that with the update that included the Color Rush uniforms, there are a couple of other changes involving uniform selection. They have finally added the ability to change what the CPU is wearing without using the second controller trick, and its great. Works perfectly. On the flip side, now when you wear a jersey thats a different shade than the team's primary color, and try to wear white/primary shoes, the shoes are the color of the jersey. For example, if you were to wear the Dolphins orange jersey, you cannot wear aqua shoes.
I already used them, they are fantastic. My only regret is not making my opponent use their color as well (they wore white).
