YEs it does to a degree (@15 years) but I'm happier than a pig in **** that they won - when they win. Especially a game that they were predicted to get blown out.
Theres no reason to apologize. If he wants to go out of his way to be a douchebag, let him. No reason to apologize for your opinion. Like his opinion is worth anymore than yours.
