What is this guy's strength? I have not seen anything from this guy since he has been here. Not in camp, not in the pre season, and not in 2 reg. season games. In fact, all I have seen is him being abused repeatedly. Did you see Bennett stiff arm this guy? He fell like a twig. I have no idea what technique this guy was using to try and tackle the TE, all be it a tight end. He got stiffed horribly. Then this guy tried tackling blount with his head down, and blount abused this guy jumping over him like he was nothing. I saw alot of guys get completely abused this game. Im sure there will be alot of uncomfortable moments rewatching the film. But Maxwell is the worst!

I thought we got him to press, but so far that is not happening.

Well on the Blount hurdle, in his defense id have to say that they are trained to tackle low because of all the helmet to helmet issues so it sets them up for failure....the stiff arm thing....dude just got embarrassed plain and simple lol

I see stiff arms to the face mask of players from the offense guy all the time to shed tacklers. IMO it should be called as a facemask penalty it the head moves up. But that's just me.

You say this, but...think about it. You think the coaching staff doesn't know of his shortcomings? Yet they still choose him over the other options which could be even worse.

I think he's a solid CB. If you're expecting elite play maybe you're disappointed right now but he's been what most of us thought he was I think. I can't complain. He was brought in to fill a spot and he's doing just that. If you wanted top-end performance you'd have either (1) not traded Smith/Davis, (2) gone after a big FA like the Redskins did or (3) made the requisite moves to draft someone in the 1st round this year or last.

Hopefully, we can upgrade in the offseason. Being in a mid tier FA to compete with him or draft another corner 2-4 and see what they can do. I also like Lippett's development but he is still a year away before I think he can honestly compete for a starting spot.

Obviously you haven't spent any time looking at the CB's on the Dolphins roster. Because if you had, you wouldn't be asking your question. As bad as Maxwell has played, he is still better than the backup CB's on the roster.

The LB position, DE, and CB position are all huge areas of need on defense but it is going to take at least two more solid drafts to fill most of these needs.

He's been really bad and I'm thinking it was not Philly's system at this point. Lots of CBs are allergic to contact but ....they make up for it with big plays or good coverage. He's making a lot of money too so its a bad situation.

Its really early ..I hope he turns it around.

Our CB situation makes that oh by the way trade of Jamar Taylor all the more inexplicable. He had to at least be decent depth and was still on a rookie contract. Perhaps those in the know from Club know something more.

And i I do agree that Maxwell has looked old and slow. Big cushions are easy pickings in this league.

I agree. I think we need to draft two CBs this year....we have to get this fixed.

well it should be an all defensive draft except for maybe an Evan engram.
