I mean terrible front office decisions lead to this ****show... letting Lamar Miller go and no one to replace him with.
Replacing Grimes with Maxwell, Grimes was atleast a 50/50 player... Maxwell is on the bench
Replacing OV with Mario Williams, still looking like a loss on our end.
and last but not least we STILL cant sign quality linemen to block a goddamn body. Its sad when you best player on that line is a rookie that is scared ****less of messing up and still learning the ropes.

Agreed, most if not all the decisions Tbaum made this year didn't make any sense and haven't turned out well so far.

Too early to crap on Gase. Crap on the guys that have been with us long enough they've had a chance to fully demonstrate their ineptitude. Gotta give Gase at least a year (absolute minimum).

The only thing I question so far is why is he not using Grant and Drake more. Before the season started he stated Drake was important for this team. We are not using all our playmakers.

Nah. It's not Gase, at least not yet. This is the result of YEARS of bad personnel decisions that clearly reached epidemic proportions under Phillips purges. At this point I think there is maybe 10-15 honest to God players on this team. The rest should be selling ice cream out of a truck somewhere.

Which leads me to wondering if we just have the worst scouts in the league. So I don't blame Gase for this mess, hr was dealt some pretty crappy cards here. If anything I feel sorry for the guy, having to field a team of ice cream truck guys and all.

You might well be right. But we don't know that yet. He has a horrible QB playing behind an even worse OL. Unfortunately, its going to take two more years to find out if he really sucks this bad or if he just needs players. I think we need to draft Chad Kelly or another QB, two more guards, a Right Tackle...this takes time. I don't know what the answer is. I know Tannehill cannot be part of the solution. Now, if he decides to bring Tannehill back next season, and they still suck as bad as they do, then I will join you on wanting him to go away.

Honestly, at this point I'd like to see Matt Moore out there. I have completely soured on Tannehill the last two games.

Gase is the youngest head coach in the NFL. Whether we like it or not, he is still learning on the job how to be an NFL head coach.

That being stated, you can't blame Gase for the roster decisions over the last several years which has left this team with one of the least talented rosters in the NFL. I think the front office needs to receive the blame and that starts with Tannebaum.

This team is no better today than it was the day Tannebaum was named head of football operations. Until Ross hires a head of football operations who actually knows how to build a quality football team, it doesn't matter who the head coach is when the overall talent level is as bad as this Dolphins roster is.

This overall roster could make Bill Belichick look like a bad head coach.

3 losses on the road vs playoff teams, where we were underdogs in each game. Unforgivable.

i think gase needs time to develop... he's not a rah rah kind of coach.. guys like harbaugh catch lighting in a bottle with that motivational bs.. but as we often see that style wears thin quickly...

i honestly feel like gase will demand that we gut this team... if he loses the players then get rid of the players.. for crying out loud we need to build with new players..

changing coaches every year is not the answer.. a new GM would be my suggestion

Well I never liked the Gase hire from the beginning. His play-calling doesn't surprise me. Can't really be disappointed when I started out disappointed.

But... as per usual, fans will make every excuse for X amount of years until we inevitably quit on Gase (and likely Tannehill too.) But I do soo understand how fans like to hold on to hope.

I love Gase. This season was always a rebuilding year and he's not accepting mental mistakes and/or garbage effort.

This is not an indictment on backups that were pushed up to start (e.g. Gase knows Lippett does not have the talent to cover AJ Green).

It will be the same criticism every week, until the season is over. Nothing will change, there is no magical player coming back that will help us go on a run. This team should be 0-4. Now it's a matter of waiting for the season to be over to see what personnel decisions are made.

This is on the front office. I don't think Gase can shoulder all the blame. Maybe he's not a good coach? 4 games isn't enough to measure that I think. How many resources do we need to pump in to the O-Line before we get consistent good performance? We count on Albert and Pouncey and honestly that was a mistake from the start, Albert and Pouncey are injury cases, they get nicked and beat up every season. Pouncey should've never gotten that extension, the guy has had hip injuries for years now, this isnt a new development. He's supposedly been the "leader" of one of the worst Offensive Lines in the league. Albert had an injury prone label going back to his KC days, should be no surprise. Juwuan James was a reach in the 1st round and he has gotten progressively worse, he looks helpless at times. We were very very fortunate to land Tunsil, he should be playing at LT and Albert at LG, if Albert doesn't like it, you move him, we should not be catering to this man's ego when all he's done is help get the QB killed year after year after year, when he's actually not missing with injury. You can point at the O-Line and see that the FO will never get it right with this team, we need another voice up top.

The offense looks just like the last 2 years, I really see no difference in routes or anything. Last night it was 3rd and 5ish 3 times in a row and 3 times in a row they lined up with trips on one side of the field, each time it did not work. how many times do you keep trying the same thing?

On defense they single covered Green that was wrong.

    OK who doesn't get it??
All those who raise their hands need to get with our age old program, of ill advised, burnt out, and or reject Head Coaching hires.
Once again, what is this? The lingering carry over from the Philbin fiasco.
The standardized once every four or five year skin, our team sheds from one regime to the next, come on people, you should know this growing pain crap by now, what are you new??

Not sure how much of it is that he sucks or is new and learning or this roster sucks. My inclination is the last two. We all pretty much knew, coming into this season, that our LB and CB were unfit to be competitive. Turns out our OL can't stay healthy and do their jobs and we have no legitimate RB on this roster.

If he sees the o line struggling, design some plays that will get the ball out of RT hand quick, we have one of the best slot recievers in the league, take advantage of that. Cant let RT do alot of thinking in the pocket as we seen his awareness sucks, make him get rid of the ball fast.

out of curiosity. who in their right mind had us with anything but a 1-3 record after week 4, prior to the season starting? who thought we were going to beat the seahawks, patrriots or bengals all legitimate super bowl contenders? gase is fine. its a new system. the players arent on the same page yet. by week 8 we will be. suck it up. we were 6-10 last year. an 8-8 season is a success. if you were expecting the playoffs you're a moron

With your logic we "should" be 2-2. And then we'd be exactly where 99% of people here wanted us to be after 4 games and we'd be singing the praises of Gase and RT. (Especially with RT's stats to date)

Since Ross has been here, he has never blown up everything and started fresh. He always leaves a holdover from the previous failed regime. Fireland was retained when Sparano was fired. Philbin was retained when Ireland was fired. Tannenbum was retained when Philbin was fired. If this season is a disaster, I expect front office will be canned and Gase will be retained. Rinse. Repeat. These failures start at the top with the dumbest NFL owner in the league.

We need to get rid of the guy who ruined the steJ, he's done enough damage already, Ross needs to hire a guy, to hire a guy, Ross, I think, doesn't know a good football guy in an interview, he knows a good salesman, I think Tclown "sold" himself to Ross, and I think Ross was impressed by his sales pitch, just speculation, but still...

Ross needs to hire a consultant to hire a GM, get the input from Gase, because here's what happened, Ross hired a guy to do a job that that guy just got fired for doing really bad... yeah... if he didn't fall for a sales pitch, then I don't know what.

Ross needs to be even more of an absentee owner, he really shouldn't be making any decisions for any football teams whatsoever, imo, because he doesn't know football, as he admitted himself when he bought the team, because, if I may analogize, just because you own the helicopter, doesn't mean you'll ever be able to pilot the the thing.

Get a good GM, and see what Gase can do with that, and try to get QB17 to take a large paycut, and either way, continue the search for a franchise QB, a good GM is something we haven't had in a while, and that would cure many ills if we could manage that, so Mr Ross, hire a guy to hire a guy.
