RAW has been at again all time lows and this past Monday it was the lowest rated RAW in history. I don't think we're going to see Kevin Owens as WWE Universal Champion much longer. The Balor injury might have been the best thing for Finn in the long run because whether you want to place blame on Owens as champion or the ratings were going to be low no matter what at least Balor doesn't look like a bust drawing wise.

Definitely think the brand split plays a huge factor in that..

But they have too many wrestlers and not enough time in RAW to feature all of them.

its too late anyways since each show has their champions

RAW is 3 hours long, that's the problem. Well that and that they haven't built up new stars since Cena, Orton and Batista.

The product is just over exposed, between 5 hours of RAW/Smackdown per week and 2 PPVs per month, it's just a lot for the average viewer to take in.

Who are some of the stars we can expect to transfer over from TNA, and would it help any?

I have zero clue who is in TNA anymore outside of the Hardys. It depends on what your definition of help is. I think any new talented wrestlers coming to the WWE is always good for the product. As far as if they can help with the ratings probably not because the way the WWE is run right now they're not focused on building stars, they're focused on building the brand which are two separate things. I think only the Hardys would have a real impact right away though and who knows if they're willing on coming in and working a full schedule.

Yesterday was just a terrible show... and the main event was a women's championship match. When the hell has that ever happened before?

Plus you gave Sasha the title at raw before and she had her moment, winningn a championship in RAW instead of payperview is a little special. She had her moment already. Why not make her win it again on the payperview instead? Storyline makes no sense, felt like they hit a reset button so that they can go straight to Bayley vs Sasha for the title.

And that raw women's division barely has active members to begin with.. we all know its bayley vs sasha next..

Jim Ross just tweeted he had froma surce that the WWE signed Goldberg to a match against Lesnar for the Survivor Series. While interestingnot sure the point. But if it gets the WWE buys/ratings I guess that's what they're looking for.

It happened once before. Trish vs. Lita.

I think that is a helluva main event to close a Raw.

Hasn't it happened a few times? I could have sworn that women main evented RAW recently, like in the past 2 years or so. Or maybe I'm thinking of women closing the show with an angle?

What did you guys think of the closing segment on smackdown? Ambrose and styles were fantastic on the mic I thought.

McMahon doesn't have any stars. His company is dying a slow death.

Supposedly this was only the second time that RAW closed the show with a women's title match.

WWE is smart, building up the Network. You don't need the company, you only need the library, thats the value. TNA was, and never will, be a threat, but now you have a new audience of TNA fans who will buy the network to watch TNA matches.

I must be thinking about an angle then. I think it was Paige and Charlotte from either earlier this year or last year?

There's a joke to be made there.

Realistically the WWE buying TNA's tape library will do very little, if at all, to boost Network subscriptions.

It has more to do with being able to add TNA matches to DVD/Blu Ray releases to help boost those sales. When the WWE released the Rise and Fall of WCW DVD and Best of Nitro DVD, the sales from those alone made the purchase of the company worth it, ditto for ECW. The WWE will put out a TNA Doc, Best of TNA, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Sting, Samoa Joe DVDs and get their money back. Having the tape library on the Network is just an added bonus.

Meltzer is reporting that the tape library will be sold for as low as 500k.

Goldberg looks like hes closing in on a deal to job for Lesnar in a revenge match at survivor series. Lame itll be great for ratings, but Goldberg's character should never be jobbed for anyone. It is set in stone.

Goldberg is 49 years old and hasn't wrestled in over 10 years or so, it's not like his character needs to be protected. He'll get the Sting treatment. I am surprised that they're not waiting until WM but who knows maybe they have other plans in mind for Lesnar or Goldberg.

Maybe itll be another best of 3 series between them with Wrestlemania to uneven the score. Goldberg said yesterday protecting his character is very important and will play a role into whether he actually signs or not. I dont think he wants his only return to be a loss to Lesnar, he wants something in it for himself too.

Over the years you can tell he is very protective about his character. So hes going to want a win somewhere, and possibly over Lesnar.

Id be pleasantly surprised if Goldberg gets the clean pin and win at Survivor series, the crowd would go insane if he wins and Brock has at least one guy that has his number..

But Brock is Vince's pet... Vince was not thrilled with the way Goldberg walked off whilst still grtting paid. Goldberg will get the loss no doubt, and it would be the first ever 1 vs 1 loss without interference.

Meltzer is reporting that Lesnar vs. Shane McMahon is penciled in for WM.

The reason why Goldberg vs. Lesnar is at Survivor Series is because the WWE wants to boost the ratings of RAW and the Network and also help with their video game sales. Also since Vince didn't create the Goldberg character he doesn't care much for it so he's not super excited about the match. It is also said to be a one off match.

I dont understand the Shane McMahon matches.

Okay he had that one match against Big Show years ago, which btw Test played a huge role in a victory.

But Shane should not be in any tier where he is any match for the Undertaker or brock..

I even understand the undertaker match cause there were stakes... but he should be beaten to a pulp just like Orton was against Brock

RAW/Smackdown are in town for me, locally, which means I get to see old friends and eat good food at their catering tables.

Also, a good friend of mine may be Braun's opponent tonight. Will know more around noon, PST.

Still not feeling the cruiserweight division... too many safe moves limits the excitement...

Also is a suplex off the top rope a banned move? I dont ever see that done anymore

Fun night at RAW. Haven't really been able to tell people for a long time who my friends are at WWE...but was told that it was fine tonight. As they say...pictures are worth 1,000 words... And now people will probably know why I tend to be a little bit "easy" on WWE, from time to time...fella.

Cool pictures Samphin, I still dislike Sheamus though haha. Seriously I think the role he's in now is fine as a upper mid card heel who has stiff matches. Since the awful League of Nations angle and him getting the WWE title he's put on some pretty good matches. I actually would like to see some Sheamus vs. Rusev matches again.

I don't get Paige but I find it hard to believe someone could be dumb enough to get suspended again while still being suspended. I would have to think she's just trying to get out of her contract now. Between the suspensions and break surgery I'd be surprised if she wrestles for the WWE during her current contract. Blame Del Rio?

Eh still not really excited to see a 50 year old Goldberg vs. Brock but it should get people talking at least. Which is exactly what the WWE needs/wants.

And don't expect Brock to take Goldberg to suplex city 10 times during the match.

Go back and watch their WM20 match, that's pretty much what you're going to get.

I expect brock to do his first german suplex and Goldberg does that thing he usually does where he instantly recovers and pops back up on his feet, and they have a staredown and Brock realizes this isnt that kind of match.

Even though the result at Survivor series is as obvious as their first match, Goldberg deserved that ovation last night. Glad he is back despite him being booked to lose.

Never was a Goldberg fan, but that was the most I have ever enjoyed him. He seemed genuinely taken aback by the reaction, and humble, which has always been the knock on him.

The match probably won't be great, but who cares? It is a sideshow, special attraction match. And there is a spot for that on a big PPV show like Survivor Series.

Also, I am returning to the ring (somewhat) later this year, for the first time in 15 years.

I was hired to be the ring announcer for a local promotion. Hopefully I will capture some video or pictures, or whatever.

You see that Dana White came out and said that Punk most likely will NOT get another UFC fight?

Surprising when you consider how many people purchased that PPV to see him compete.

I didn't, I really don't follow MMA that closely. I'm pretty surprised, I mean I know Punk got beat pretty quickly but I would think most of the buys were because of him. I guess the UFC higher ups don't have any faith in Punk being a draw going forward.

So when you do think Punk will be back with the WWE and how much do you think it will cost Vince to bring him back?
