Big hug between the two of them, lots of smiles, Gase slapping Maxwell's helmet. Just, a nice comment to see between a coach and an embattled player who's been benched already and criticized alot for under performing this year, and a player who really put in a good second half after it appears he was benched again for a bit in the first half.

I did, too, honestly. But, Rex Ryan is a bit more reliant and insistent about running the ball. And he's seen the tape.

Plus, he doesn't have a Big Ben toy to play with. Tyrod Taylor had eight rushes today, and I imagine he'll have more than that against Miami. McCoy will carry the load, of course, and if things are going well, they'll run at least twice as much as they pass.

So, I hope they pass twice as much as they run. It's on our defense to make that happen. We know what's coming.

For a guy that watches the Steelers defense, you couldn't have been more wrong.

As I knew, the Dolphins offense owned the Steelers D.

And I did bet on it :)

I'm glad that we have a coach that is holding players accountable. Gase has gotten to Maxwell and Ajayi by benching and challenging them, its always good for guys to KNOW they won't be playing if they don't perform or do what the coaches are asking.

i know everyone is on a ajayi high, but he hasn't changed, he still runs the scripted play. if there is no hole he doesn't wait for it to develop, or find the hole he just runs into people. he did that today still, he had a big stat day bc for the most part holes were there bc the difference is we had our starting ol that can actually make holes.

GOD I LOVE BEATING THE STEELERS ***.

Classless org and fans, Rapist turd at QB. We put some ugly on him, then I went and watched my Isles win the home opener in OT.

It was a good day, I didn't even need my AK.

Yeah but how much of their defense depends on their offense keeping the ball for long periods of time? Not a rhetorical statement, an honest question. As soon as Ben goes out their offense was listless. Right around then we start spanking them. We were moving the ball well I thought but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot.

A win, is a win, and our team scored and moved the ball well. But this isn't beating a Big Ben led Steelers team, which would have been even more delightful. That said, our path to the playoffs is to keep knocking starting QBs out of the game.

A lot of fun at the stadium yesterday.
Games like that are the reason to have season tickets.

I can't remember ever seeing as many fans of the opposing team in the stands. Makes it even better when you can send them back to Pittsburgh with a bad taste in their mouths.

I love Ajayi's running style. He is a physical North/ South runner, that isn't afraid to try to run through a linebacker rather than run out of bounds. Calls to mind Csonka.
Not as big a fan of Damien Williams dancing behind the line.

I consider this beating Ben. He played. We battered him. Just like any other game. Ryan gets battered. Had we beaten the Seahawks, would that be not beating them? I disagree with that.

However, I was referring to Miami's O vs Pittsburgh's D. Even with Ben, Steelers D had nothing to stop our O. Their defense has been soft for years. It doesn't create turnovers. It doesn't get pressure on the QB. They had nothing. I wasn't expecting to run the ball as well as we did, but I was expecting to run the ball better than we had all year.

I mean it is what it is. Enjoy the win. We could wind up being the worst team in the NFL, but some team's matchup well against others. We beat the Steelers HANDILY...Big Ben wasn't doing anything against us anywho and we were scoring.

Wow! What an incredible experience my first Fins home game was! I think I lost my voice halfway through the 1st quarter and I can hardly speak today. I know the Steelers fans travel well but I was a bit dissapointed how many of their fans were there. Realistically I'd say they were 40% but they were much louder than us. I must have gotten hit in the head by a Terrible Towel at least 10 times........that's okay, I'm glad they had something to cry in to.

Until Ben went out we had two field goals I believe. Again, I said a win is a win. We keep knocking QBs out so that's one way to the playoffs ...

Uhhhhhh the guy tore his meniscus in the first half. He wasn't the normal Big Ben out there, I mean c'mon.

DK Pittsburgh Sports reports Ben Roethlisberger underwent a meniscectomy Monday.
A meniscectomy is the surgical removal of all or part of a torn meniscus. The operation sounds serious, but the recovery timetable is much shorter than for a full repair. It remains possible Ben is back following the Week 8 bye. Landry Jones will start while he is sidelined. Oct 17 - 10:30 AM
