I was counting on this game to be an easy win.Boy was I wrong. The next 3 games steelers, jets, bills, all look like losses. This would put us at 1-6. Are we the worst team in the nfl?
Unless the Browns quit the NFL, no we are not. A close second worst? Yeah, probably. This was my 'alarm' game, in that if we lost (and we did -badly) it would mean we are in the race for the #1 pick. We are in the that race now, and I don't see another 'should win' on the schedule.
We are among the bottom 3. But we could be anywhere from 32nd to 29th on any given Sunday. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Yes, we are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Quite frankly, this is the wake up call that this organization and fanbase needs. This team is clearly further away from being competitive and good than most thought. Years of poor drafting, bad free agency signings, lousy player development and bad coaching has made this a complete mess. The two places we've invested the most money and draft picks into were completely ineffective yesterday. It's crazy to think that after after 3 1st round draft picks and multiple 2nd and 3rd round draft picks, that this OL still needs to be rebuilt. Never mind the fact that we need playmakers on defense and are still in purgatory at QB. I'd like to see them move on from bad contracts like Albert who can't stay healthy, Maxwell who just isn't good and develop a 2-3 year plan to get this team and organization back on track again.
You nailed it. It has finally caught up. Since 2012, winning the best free agent, drafting poorly, bad cuts and trades have finally caught up. The cupboard is bare. The roster is filled with aged, expensive players and players that were undrafted or here because of a lack of cap space and the need for warm bodies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I was wrong proclaiming us worst team in league The question is after 2 wins in a row where do we go from here?
With only 9 games left, going 8-4 is impossible. We'd have to be 6-3 from this point out if we want to finish 9-7. Given what we've done the last two weeks that may seem possible but I just dont see it personally. 5-4 is more accurate at best IMHO.
We only face two teams with winning records in the last 9 games- the Bills and the Pats. Considering we just convincingly beat two of the best teams in football in consecutive weeks, I don't think that 6-3 is impossible- especially since we've beat NE at home three years straight.
Yup, that's how I took it too. There's still a lot of football to go and we will surely have more down games, but I just don't see us losing the last four under Gase. He's to much of a bully to let us slide that horribly like we did under Philbin and Sparano.
We can keep winning as long as the OL stays healthy and J-Train keeps running the ball for 100+ yds a game (not expecting another 200 yd performance but 100 to 150 a game would be great). This really is a different team with a good OL and great running game. The defense is well rested and can generate a good pass-rush. Special Teams is still bad, so that needs cleaned up, but going 6-3 over the rest of the season seems doable. Still amazed at the difference these past two weeks have brought.
