I can't pull up the article but Marshall believe we traded for Maxwell to defend himself. What are your thoughts?

    Her - http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...ins-cb-bryon-marshall-just-days-ahead-matchup

    Excerpt:

"Marshall still is miffed by Maxwell's tactics from their 2015 encounter, when Maxwell played for the Philadelphia Eagles."I played against him last year and he just held every single play," Marshall said Wednesday. "Every single play he held. That was tough."
Marshall said he's "excited" for the rematch because, "I owe him one."
This will be an emotional game for Marshall, who was traded by the Dolphins in 2012 after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. This will be his first game at Hard Rock Stadium since the trade. He said the game means a lot to him because he believes he was treated unfairly by the media and fans in South Florida.
But his No. 1 focus will be Maxwell, who was traded to the Dolphins in the offseason.
"They traded for him to stop me, so I'm excited for this matchup," Marshall said."

Marshall isn't fast, so I actually like this matchup, esp if he presses him

I think he is mad that he can't make plays on Maxwell.

I thought Marshall had 10 for 109 on Maxwell last year or I'd i read something wrong?

I'll see if I can find where I read it. I will say Maxwell should be playing man/press coverage. That's what he played in Seattle and what he is better at. They put him in more zone in Philly last year and he struggled just like he did here the beginning of the year. He played more press against Bryant and had a great game

Never liked Marshall when he was here. I hope our guys can step up and shut him up.

And you guys are right. 10 catches, for 109 yards and a TD. If we traded for Maxwell based on that, our FO are idiots. I think that Marshall is just trying to pump himself up.

I like his chances better than Grimes...

Yeah, Marshall humiliated Grimes last season. 16 catches, 259 yards and 2 TD. It would be hard for Maxwell and company to do worse.

Here's a football stat for you- what receiver lead the league in dropped TD's six years ago? I'll give you a hint, it was the same receiver who cried a river that our QB in Miami wasn't good enough to throw him the ball. I'm sorry folks- he's a self-absorbed jerk that nobody wants to play with. Why else has he bounced from team to team every other year?

The only exciting thing Brandon Marshall can do for the NFL is retire- I literally can't stand him. He's a cancer on his team wherever he lands.

The Key is Marshall not being on the field because of a ball control offense by Miami

Dont forget, Marshall is also making these statements for the officials. It's essentially him laying the groundwork before the game to the refs to watch out for Maxwell and how he plays. You can bet he's going to be in their ears all game about it, and he will likely get those calls.

He's like the Dwight Howard of the NFL. The Phins should play him like they did Antonio Brown, but they also have to be mindful of Quincy Enunwa.
