The last time we saw a player perform so pathetically as BM did Sunday, Gase cut him. I know we are thin as hell at CB, but he was atrocious; clearly the worst person on the defense.
Miami must continue to mitigate its risk at corner with continued pass rush. There is help soon on the way with Cullver and Howard
Wow I did not realize that. However, gotta add about 30-45 yards in penalties Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In defense of Maxwell, Marshall could have been called for offensive pass interference and holding several times as well. He did a good job keeping his composure against Marshall who was acting like a little ***** on the field once again. I thought he played pretty well given the circumstances.
Maxwell didn't play great. But let's not forget how good Marshall is. And it wasn't for a lack of effort, which is what really got the others cut. Maxwell stuck his nose into a 6'4 230 pounder every single play. I'm fine with his game today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They like Maxwell a lot. They put him single up on the Jets biggest playmaker and he relegated him to non factor.
Right. He was bumrushed and grabbed every single play 1 on 1 by that chirping idiot, and didn't take the bait after the plays were over. And one of those pass interferences could have gone either way. Marshall grabbed his jersey for about 15 yards before letting go and Maxwell grabbed his arm last second and got the flag. Should have been offsetting. He did a good job yesterday. He gets a raw deal but literally was 1 on 1 all alone with Marshall all game and held him to 45 yards with a couple of penalties that really could have gone either way.
I agree completely- matching up against Marshall one on one is a nightmare. And while nobody likes to see PI, when you're one on one streaking down the sideline against a taller, more agile opponent who has position....PI can save a TD every time. In other words, it was the right play. Maxwell may not be a top corner in the league by any means, but he's scrappy and he shut Marshall down for the most part. That's all you can ask of a CB going up against an elite player.
This is why Marshall complained prior to the game. He wanted to highlight to the refs what Maxwell was doing and keep them from paying attention to his constant push offs and arm grabs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
