How did this Landry thing start?
    _______________

This is what I feared might occur with Gase's admission; the media asking everyone about this. He could've easily cut this off by saying something generic like, "We certainly want to get the ball into the hands of our playmakers, and Landry is one of them...."

Now you have your OC and QB answering for Landry. Your OC is sort of saying the same thing, but sort of not.

Did Landry have a sideline tantrum last game? I read that he left without talking to the media. Was he bothered because he didn't get the ball enough IN A WIN? Is that how this all started?

Maybe he had a tee time to make, and with the time change, the course closes earlier so he really wanted to golf before the sun went down?

Maybe the next time Jarvis Landry doesn't get the ball thrown to him enough, the media asks these same questions to Gase; except this time, Landry doesn't like the answers and calls out his QB for not being able to hit "an open wide receiver" as a fifth year starting QB in the league (just a scenario I could see happening, not that I want it to unfold like this).

    ___________

    Here's an EXCERPT:

    __________

I'll tell you one thing: perfect response by Tannehill. Stay classy.

I agree with this. Landry is my fave player, but like OBJ, he has to control his emotions. He needs to channel his emotions into his play. He is a target by refs and players now. Jarvis has a chip on his shoulder since being #98 in top 100 players and wants to bring attention to himself. His actions are of a mediocre team, this team is on the rise and he needs to change his ways. He needs to help develop Parker and channel his energy to that

Whoa. This is the first I've heard about him being unhappy after the game. Even on the game winning touchdown, he ran from the sideline to the end zone to celebrate with Drake. I didn't think there was a problem at all.

I don't think Landry complained at all. Gase just took it upon himself to want to get him the ball. I think Gase was ok playing it close last week, and probably saw film where Landry had opportunities

I think they are starting to lean a little too heavily on the run and they are asking for a guaranteed loss if they continue to neglect the passing game.

This is pure garbage and pure speculation to throw negative stuff towards Landry. Pathetic.

Landry needs to quit spinning the ball after a catch...... Tired of his antics. Just play ball. I do love how he blocks though, giving great effort.

Landry's performances outweighs any stupid flags that he picks up, but there is no question, he picks up some stupid flags.

After the ref blows the whistle, you don't have to get in the closest guys face all the time.

My guess is if he could have changed he would have, we will just have to live with it and hope it doesn't cost us a game .

Landry did in fact leave after the game without speaking to the media. I merely asked why.

What I do not like is that, whether Gase meant for this to be a story, it is one now.

Is it out of the realm of possibility that Landry is a "diva" wideout? I think not. And it could really play a role in his future status as a Miami Dolphin.

Trade Jarvis for Mike Wallace back. The "stats" show that with him as his #1? Ryan had his best season as a pro. No brainer.

Landry is what this team has been missing. Get in their face and never back down. A penalty here and there is irrelevant.

Not when it costs a drive for a potential score.

His extracurricular activity could be taken as selfish and a penalty is counterproductive.

Uh....not concerned about Juice being over emotional at all. He's an incredible talent who makes plays and he's the best football player on this team. Reminds me so much of Hines Ward.

    All because of Landry?

You're confusing intensity with stupidity. If a player's "intensity" brings an official to throw a flag that costs yardage, it might be because the player did something stupid. And if it was because a player did something stupid, I have a problem with that. Because now, you're bigger than the team. You're selfish. Go play an individual sport if "number one" comes first. Stupidity loses games. It has happened, and will likely continue to happen because of 'number one'.

I love Landry's intensity. Hate the stupidity. Gase shares the same sentiment.

In some cases, these flags are subjective. I thought spinning the ball was a delay of game. Guess if you do it in front of an opposing bench, it's a fine.

You're also not the coach of an NFL team.

On the third offensive possession against Buffalo, Miami moved the chains on the very first play for 26 yards to Landry. Landry got a 15-yard taunting penalty, negating a big play against a tough Buffalo D. This was also after Miami's three-and-out on their second possession.

So instead of having a first down in Buffalo territory, Landry's penalty moved Miami back at their own 38. Miami gained ZERO yards on three straight plays and ended up punting.

His penalty was, without a doubt, a momentum killer.

This isn't about micromanaging. This is about not taking unnecessary penalties that hurt your team. That penalty hurt the team. You can argue the call, but in reality, Landry did what he did to incite a reaction. His "intensity" got the best of him and hurt the team.

Miami won the game despite that penalty. This team may not survive something like that against a better team.

Did you notice his on-field demeanor was toned down last game? I did. And I would bet he was talked to by the staff, if not by Gase himself.

He's not bigger than the team. He's a helluva player who I have been high on since we drafted him. Some folks here (including some highly respected posters) were not. It was his intensity, particularly in his blocking, that gave me goosebumps.

I don't want his game to change. I just don't want his actions to hurt the team. That's not a big ask.

There are ways he can do both, just have to channel that rage..you can have an explosive personality as long as it's within your own space.

All of that is part of what Landry is as a player. Football is an emotional sport...when you have a player the caliber of Juice..just take the good and the bad. The good far outweighs the bad. Never try and change the kind of player he is.

Juice is fine. I think this is all way overblown. Let him show his emotion...if Im his coach I dont stunt his style one bit. Its part of who he is as a football player.
