    It feels different!

This is the type of game I expect to lose, and we won!!!

    QB - Check

    RB - Check

    WR - Check

    DEF - Check

I am almost in tears! We look so different!

    Difference is coaching...

This team would've folded in the 2nd like a beach chair under Philbin and Coyles.

Nope. The difference is passion. That's the one thing that can't be coached, but somehow these guys have it spilling out of their ears lately. The coaching staff is definitely helping big-time, but our boys just want it more than our last 5 opponents.

Where do you think the passion originates from? How was the passion under Philbin?

Maybe this passion and serious not giving up attitude is coming from the QB..maybe he's found his way of leading.

Game wasn't on here and I was at a birthday party so I couldn't watch it in any alternative way. I was checking the score and stuff on my phone an when I saw we were down 10-0 in the 4th, I thought that was it. When Landry scored, I was thinking huh...still four minutes left. But I did NOT expect us to pull that one out after our offense didn't do a damn thing for three quarters.

Its most certainly coaching guys. This team was so unprepared last year. So uninspired. So unmotivated. Just going through the motions like Philbin was. We NEVER would have won this game under Philbin. This team would have quit. Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner would have been in, missing blocks left and right, giving half assed effort.

It's not passion, its coaching. It's a system. It's belief in what theyre doing, what they're being coached to do, believing in each other. It's a team. Brought together by it's leader, it's head coach.

It's always said that teams take on the personality of their head coach.

We've had tough guys. We've had softies. We've had smart guys, dinosaurs and worry warts. All of them had some sort of gaping hole(s) in their makeup.

This guy is different. Beyond the smarts, there's flexibility. There's adaptation. There's accountability. He's direct and relates to his players. There's trust and loyalty between players and staff. The players truly have a voice. They have ownership. And they have bought in completely.

Most importantly, there is now BELIEF. You can see it out there every week. They're resilient. They're never out of it. THAT is the quality the good teams have.

I agree. The coaching is the difference. I don't know if we'll make the playoffs. We may not be able to overcome all the OL injuries, but regardless I feel good about this team going forward b/c I trust the coaches.

Need a good draft and a few decent FAs along the line on both sides. This team is surely playing pretty good right now.

I'll like them even more when we start getting better play calling ;)
The good thing is we can see they are flexible and not mired in cement.

We realistically still need upgrades at several spots, but hey ... we're seeing passion and results and that's a hell of a lot more than we've seen for what seems forever.

It is a very sweet feeling to be 6-4, there's no doubt about that.

I think, along with the other things that have been said, players see the beating the QB is taking, and they hear the disparaging words thrown his way, and they man up, and play better, and play tougher. It certainly helps when the coach makes it clear the QB is his guy...the team comes together around their QB. just like the team came together around Grant when he muffed that punt.

With a very good shot at being 7-4 after next week if we win a very winnable game at home (on paper).

Realistically, that will always be the case. NE's roster always needs upgrades, arguably more than Miami many years. Yet they win b/c their coaches have been far better at getting the best out of the players they have.

To stave off the expected argument. Some will argue it's b/c of Brady and he's obviously a big factor, but since Brady became the starter Belichick's win percentage with Brady is .771 and .750 without Brady.

1-4 to 6-4 is impressive. There has been some ugly wins, but they are wins. Old Dolphins would be 2-8 now.

speaking of coaching I am really thankful we did not get fisher as our head coach. Them not going for it on that 4th and 1 was moronic, that would have run out the clock and sealed the game. I also noticed Higbee played less and he and Goff had a nice thing going, not sure why you would take out a weapon your rookie QB feels confident with. Unless Higbee was hurt on the one pass play. Still really glad we did not hire Fisher as head coach.

Dare I say it.. we all have to give Ross props too for hiring Gase. Guy's a slow learner but he seems to have gotten it right this time.
