Bittersweet in that we caused it, but the Bills have a chance to improve with a new and improved head coach, as opposed to a mediocre Rex Ryan. Then again, they could always hire somebody worse than Rex for their next coach, we'll see.

I think Anthony Lynn has a legit shot based on how well the offense played when he took over as OC

The Bills waisted the teams defense. They had a great defense before RR got there. They thought (as did a bunch of people) that Rex was going to make it a dominate D. Never happened.

Some coaches should never be selected as a Head Coach and their role in life should never be anything higher than a coordinator. Off the top of my head, some of the GREAT coordinators that were AWFUL Head Coaches...

    Buddy Ryan
    Rex Ryan
    Cam Cameron
    Norv Turner
    Dom Capers

And these are the ones that are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are a number of them out there past and present.

To quote Clint Eastwood as "Dirty Harry Callahan" in The Enforcer...

"A man's GOT to know his limitations"

Cam Cameron has had a back breaking fall after washing out of Miami as Head coach. Remember the year the Ravens won the super bowl? Cameron was the OC and was canned during that season. Then I believe he went to LSU and was canned during the season as their OC. Who knows, or cares what he is doing now. Probably coaching high school.

Best thing to happen to this Bills team (for us) was when the new owners came in and Marrone quit. That dude had that team playing team ball, and they looked to improve.

Enter Sexy Rexy "Is this thing on? Well it's about to be" Ryan...fresh new Buffalo Bill tattoo and all.

He continued his abuse of Philbo the Clown that he'd started in NY, effectively ending our hopes for the playoffs for a few years, all told. He finally did enough to get fired...damn shame...I wanted him to stay for Gase to beat up on for a few years at least.

So glad to have the 2nd best coach in the AFC East! 2 teams in the AFC East could be looking for new head coaches! Its could be a bad year too looking for head coaching jobs.
    For sure
    Bills
    Jaguars
    Rams

I wouldn't be surprised if these teams were looking for new coaches
    Jets
    Bengals (Rumors Lewis retires)
    Colts
    Chargers
    Bears
    49ers
    Carolina

Dont see Bears firing Fox just yet, but wouldn't be surprised

I think I heard a few days ago that CBS hired him. Good. Time for him to hang up his clipboard and go the way of Jon Gruden.

Spelling Edit: Oh mighty ones, please forgive my blunder. Originally, I accidently spelled Jon, John. A thousand pardons.

There's also a rumor the Rams want to "trade" for a coach...I wonder who that could be?

I disagree. It was Wanny's ineptitude as a coach and gm that sent us on the spiral it seems we're literally just now getting out of.

I will miss Rex Ryan. Beating Jets/Bills is pretty awesome. Beating them when Rex was the coach made it even more awesome.

LOL the bills are dysfunctional. Rex didn't deserve to get fired after two years. They fired him because he wanted to play the teams best qb and win the game. Good luck having any talented coach want to go there.

Arnsparger washed out with the Giants but later was successful as a HC at LSU and then as an AD at Florida. Wanny washed out as a HC with Chicago and Miami as well as the University of Pitts. I think Wanny has him beat.

The Bills really have poisoned the well as far as Tyrod Taylor is concerned. Yes his passing numbers are down, but he is posting about league average despite the defense putting him in a lot of difficult obvious passing situations. He still has posted good rushing numbers and he still has elite escapability.
The Bills will not find a better QB for cheaper on the open market.
The chances of the Bills drafting a better QB are less than 50%

And now the bills have soured their relationship with him because they don't want to be forced into paying a guarantee that they are going to have to pay anyway if they want vaguely competent QBing next year.

Arnsparger was a much better DC than Wanny though, there has been serious discussion about whether great innovative co-ordinators like Arnspargar or LeBeau who didn't succeed as HCs should get into the HoF. Wannstadt never reached those heights as a DC, so as Arnsparger's ceiling was so much higher his failure as HC is more disappointing.

Tyrod is not a bad qb. And now who the hell will coach there? The dolphins should be happy he is out in Buf because he isn't incompetent even though he is often perceived that way. They will likely not be able to find a coach as good as him.
