You Play to win the game!

I want to win, but lets say Ajayi shoulder is bothering him, i wouldn't mind sitting him, but it seems like he is fine so...

Yes I agree, I my put comment in the wrong thread, in another thread there was talk about preparing for Pitt this week and coasting vs the Pats.

I was reading that thread just before this, and the threads are similar and I just made a mistake putting it in this thread, my bad.

I voted I'd rather play Houston...'cuz it's a no-brainer. They're the weakest possible opponent in the wildcard round. Probably won't happen, 'cuz I don't see any way possible at all that the Chargers beat the Chiefs...they've mailed it in...even lost to the Browns. And they have a bunch of dudes banged up. Ya, it's a division game, on the road, for the Chiefs, but I just think these two teams are too far apart right now for it to be remotely possible the Chiefs lose it.

Still...would love to stick it to the Cheaters and kick them from the #1 seed (which still may not even happen then, since Oakland will probably lose to the Broncos). Last year, a 5-10 Philbin led Miami team beat the Cheatriots at Miami in week 17, when they needed it for #1 seed. Can't possibly be any bigger of a leap to take 'em this year. 11-5 sounds so sweeeeeeeeeet.

This is the Last week off our banged up team can get. Rest everybody and let the backups play. Regardless of if we win we are playing on the road throughout the playoffs. I better not see Suh play. Brandon Albert and tunisil better sit. Ajayi should rest his shoulder. Let caroo and grant play receiver. Wake should sit. Phillips should sit. Alonso should sit

Rest, rest, rest. Pittsburgh plays Cleveland with nothing to play for. A hard fought game vs NE is idiotic.

Who voted that they'd rather face Pittsburgh than Houston? How could anyone in their right mind actually want that?

I get that, but this one would be on the road in winter conditions against a team way, way, WAY better than Houston.

The idea that you can treat this as if it were a preseason game doesn't hold water. You simply don't have that many guys available.

You can choose to rest a handful of guys, but even then I'm not sure it provides a net benefit. You can get Suh some rest, but the potential cost is your depth playing a high number of snaps which they are unaccustomed to. You're potentially just shifting risk, but not necessarily mitigating it.

No matter who we play in rd 2 of the playoffs, they will have their entire team with a full week off of rest. Our last bye week was week eight. Gase has to rest however many players he can this week. If he goes full bore it's a rookie coach mistake.

Right but those sound like running game conditions. That's how we beat them already.

The only team I fear is the Ravens because they beat us like step children.

Apparently we do. It's for some older audio/video equipment they used several years back.

What I don't get is why WE get footed with the bill for equipment THEY used? (Rex Ryan loves getting footed with the bill I hear. Why not him??)

    Dirty team all around.

I agree with that assessment but I'd rather play Houston than either of them. Between the Yellow and the Purple I'd rather play Pitt. We're cursed against the Raven. They've knocked us out of the playoffs the last two times we actually made it. And stomped our *** this year. Pitt is more finesse than tough and gritty like they're usually known for I think as well. We just have to figure out how to stop Le'veon Bell and Antonio Brown (who has been kinda slumping) Balt has a much more threatening defense as well. They chewed up Ajayi. If we can get our running game going against Pitt like last game it's a wrap.

Lots of Pitt fans live in my area for some odd reason, I guess maybe cause no pro football team(Don't wanna be lumped in with NC.) I know a few fins fans as well but... Suffice to say the Pitt fans are already talking smack. That should wet our fans appetite to go in to their house and run all over their yellow *** until mustard squirts out of their rear.
