MarQueis Gray announced on Instagram that he has a place to call home for the next two years. The team hasn’t made any announcement and there’s no word on any financial terms of the deal.

Gray joined the Dolphins in March and has seen the second-most snaps among tight ends this season while playing in all 15 games. He’s caught 14 passes for 174 yards and has been used often as a blocker over the course of the year.

The Dolphins have plenty of other players set to become free agents after the season with right guard Jermon Bushrod, wide receiver Kenny Stills and linebacker Kiko Alonso — who will be a restricted free agent — among the most notable names on the list.

Happy for him! Really stepped up when Cameron went out.

Like him seems to be good when his number is called. We need to get Kenny stills locked up before he gets a big offer

Great for him! I love to see guys like that work and play there way to a contact vs fat cats that get the big day and slouch off. He's hungry

Without knowing the numbers, I didn't like the Sam Young extension, but I do like this one. His blocking has been very good for a TE.

Good. He's made some plays when we need them. It's nice to see one of our TEs make some plays. Cameron was a big disappointment before he got injured.

    Well away from here
1 year for 1.25 million for Young is not a lot, nor are we locked in for years.

Dion Sims ranked 42nd according to PFF. I would venture to say that the signing of Gray and the advent of Duarte will result in Dion Sims walking. I see Duarte has added significant weight as well. Maybe he has even started to learn how to block.

Give me OJ Howard and George Kittle in the draft and call the Dolphins all aces in the TE department.

Although....I would still like to bring back Anthony Fasano. The ageless wonder still leads the NFL in blocking, and not by a little. There isn't another TE in the league who even comes close to Fasano's blocking grades. Maybe Duarte can spend another year on the PS.
