Our LB corps need upgrading. These guys just don't pay attention.

 

Disagree. What we need to do is match the length of their drives while forcing at least a few FG.

Longer drives for both teams will create less possessions and less chance for them to pull away. The big thing is maintaining drives on offense. If we can't do that we will lose by double digits easily.

I don't think Vance is overmatched at all. The calls are there. You can't blame missed tackles or poor assignment work.

These aren't radical plays by the Pats. Butler bit. Easy pickings for the Pats.

Were people expecting different? I'm just glad we hit Brady a couple times and tried to be physical. Our defense is basically 3 starters and 8 backup quality players today.

It's just severely lacking talent right now. Mostly due to injuries. People have to remember that. Both starting safeties are out. Neville Hewitt is starting at LB today too. It's hard to beat NE on a regular day, nevermind with a talent deficiency like that.

 

That's ridiculous. Have you looked at the talent missing from the D due to injury? How many backups are out there today? Come on man... the fact we're even in the playoffs with a unit that beat up is a testament to this group of coaches.

 

I mean if our secondary is truly that pathetic then id just blitz all game, even if we end up giving up big plays lets try some different blitzes that may work in the playoffs. This is the game to experiment what can work in the wildcard game

 

Who here couldn't tell you they would dunk and dunk all day? Giving them the cushion we did is horrible play calling.

I'm looking at the overall picture later in the game. Long drives kill defenses at the end of the game.

In a perfect world, you'd want us to match them punch for punch in the time of possession dept, but Miami has about as many long plays as anyone in the league. They typically kill you in the TOP dept.

VJ shouldn't be a d coordinator. He should have been fired last week due to Buffalo putting up 600+ yards. You are blind if you think that VJ should continue to be our d coordinator.

 

And this is a direct result of that long drive. They'll just run then play action.
