If Miami is a true playoff team then they have one week to remove bad habits. Defense settles in later, however, early they suck. Offense must have less predictability and more ingenuity and more of a sense of urgency at the beginning of games. I accept the fact that the run defense sucks, and the fact that they're going to allow points and big plays, however there are no injuries on offense and the strength his team is the offense and they just don't have a sense of urgency and they're so predictable

Good luck being not predictable in the NFL with a backup QB and your RB being the best part of your offense

So the WRs arent a strength? Moore was not under pressure that much

You're not gonna be very 'unpredictable' in our situation. If teams shut down the run we're more than likely gonna lose. Luckily Ajayi breaks the most tackles in the NFL.

Ageed with the sense of urgency. It would help having a healthy Tannehill. At this point the D is so bad that we have got to go into every game expecting to score 30+ to have a good chance. Need to call plays with more of a sense of urgency. Dont run every 2nd and 2. Mix it up. Act as though you're down 10 points from the get-go. Chances ae you will be by the 2nd qtr anyways.

Play calling at the start in Baltimore and this game was horrendous based on the defense being driven down field. Assume they tie those games at 7-7 and hold the ball more, what happens? I dont think they HAVE to run their offense until the game is manageable. They lost this game in the first based on playcalling. Too determined to run and not just open it up. Moore was relatively clean today and line has been solid on pass protection. Lets see what happens next week when there is no next week

And hope like hell Tannehill comes back healthy and on fire. He has tore Pitt up the last couple yrs. We have run all over them as well. Just hope that Pitt makes mistakes on O to help our D out. Ben holds the ball a long time, giving our pass rush a chance to get there and cause a turnover. Ben will put the ball on the ground. We just cant let them run all over us and dump off to their running backs and te.

I may be the only person on the planet that thinks we can beat Pittsburgh.

I bet Gase thinks we can beat Pittsburgh. I also bet the players think they can win. That's all that matters.

I hate to say this but the way the defense is playing, it is not very playoff-material. Not stopping the run is old now

I agree one hundred percent, gase is too predictable especially early on. He always runs on obvious running downs when the defense is expecting run, it alows them to stack the line and then puts us in long yardage situations. He runs on 1st down almost every time. He should pass on first, run on second, mix it up.

On defense our main problem is playing soft off coverage. The Edelman touchdown today that killed us had rambo fiving him a 10 yard cushion on 3rd and 7, and on top of that he started to back pedal when the ball was snapped leaving Edelman even more wide open, then when he finally comes up he completely wiffs on the tackle.

Playing soft made no sense. They were. Kt going deep. All they did was throw screens and short. Very frutrated

I'm with you. NE is the only team in the playoffs that I feel they would lose to consistently.

The problems with predictability on offense and soft coverage on defense have been consistent problems through most of the season. If it was something that they just did in this new england game then I would agree it was just gase holding his cards.

They lost the same way. Could we be that bad? Or Gase being a genius ? Lol

Gase thinks that we can beat anyone. I like seeing him get pissed. I'm really excited to see what he can do with the team in the future.

Key to beating Pitt is taking Ben out. Their backup is horrible.
