But the Pats don't cheat!?!??!?!??!?!??!??!?!?!?!!!! Of course there's a double standard. People have been pointing it out since their dynasty began with the Tuck Rule. Since then they've gotten every call and every benefit of the doubt even though they've been repeatedly caught cheating and repeatedly accused of cheating. But the US loves a winner, and they don't much care if X entity cheats to win or not. It's easily one of the worst traits we have as a country. On the other hand, after reading some interviews with Landry, I'm willing to be he loves the fact he was flagged as it just adds to his legend of punishing defenders.
40 seconds in - http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-cant-...lay-Huge-block-springs-Edelman-for-77-yard-TD Looks like he gets some air - both feet come down for a landing.
Correction. He plants right between Lippett's feet, so he leaves the ground after the impact. Again - just before 40 seconds in. And with Youtube you can slow down the play speed.
Thats funny, in the game day thread I pointed out that hit and said it was just like landrys that he got fined for... and I was told I dont know anything about football... lmao. Looking at you buckeyetroop
Correction again! This video gives some clear angles on the hit - He doesn't plant between Lippett's feet. He doesn't really take off but his feet aren't on the ground when he makes the hit. There's definite helmet to helmet contact. The 'launch' question becomes a matter of semantics. When does a launch become a launch? Does one foot need to be on the floor during contact? Must both feet be off the floor for a certain duration. I don't think this is a bad block really, but the distinction between this and Landry is just a matter of player height, I think. Were Landry taller I think his hit would have looked just like this one.
Difference is crackback. DB is a considered protected player for any crackbacks. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

What would he know he probably thought Clemson had no shot at winning on saturday, Man that was great to watch. Anyway back to the thread the rule in the NFL is if the Patriots do it it's not illegal. I knew the game was over after the first drive when Andre Branch was so being held on that third down run by Brady and no call.
He's a white pat wr though. The only flags being thrown around them are for DPI. Not even the illegal picks and holding that they also seem to routinely get away with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
