We wore all white against Tennessee. I like all our uniform combos, and I really like how they spread them out between white/white, aqua/white, and throwbacks for home games. Then go white/aqua for all road games. White over aqua is still my favorite look, but I like the all white too as it's a simple, clean look.
One of my favorites was the first radical variation we had ever used....the Coral on White. When that uniform was used against the game against the Patriots on Monday Night (I believe it was....I do remember it was prime time), I thought it was the coolest alternative uniform we ever used. I'd like to see that variation used more often....like a "rally hat" if you will...do or die games. What I NEVER want to see again though was the horrible coral on coral. That was the WORST ever!!!
Hopefully , that was a one-off for the stupid color rush TNF program this year and won't be repeated . i fear it will, though.
I love the throwbacks. But it's probably because of my dislike of the new unis. Hate the lack of orange. Don't like the navy. New unis would be so sweet if they eliminated all the navy and replaced it with more orange. Logo has slowly grown on me too.
I've been noticing that the Old School logo is being used a lot more than normal. And I know it's because of the throwbacks they been wearing, but the coaches/players seem to be wearing them almost as much, if not more as the current logo. They also seem to be selling the same merchandise with old and new logo, which makes me wonder if they are trying to see what people are buying more of. I can see, in 2018 season, Miami considering to go back to old school logo, if not uniform. I think uniform is more likely than logo, to change Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
old LOGO!!!! its way better than the logo and colors, the orange was better as well. I personally don't buy anything with the new logo I think its to cartoonish!!!
I can say with a high degree of confidence that they will not be going back to the old school logo as a permanent change. It is too difficult to reproduce accurately on a mass scale and the difficulty also makes it very hard to enforce copyrights. FSU made changes to their logo for the same reasons. I love the throwback colors and look. I also love how clean the new set looks. I think you could tweak the colors and the font on the new set and find a pretty awesome middle ground. After a couple more 10 win seasons, I think everyone will love the new uni's anyway. They have been associated with some pretty bad football up to this point, but I think that is about to change.
Its really close to the original aqua. Both of which are better than early 90's Ford Explorer Hunter Green.
Yep. The difference in material is probably what makes the current color look a bit lighter in the light, however the pantone colors used now are almost identical to the original colors.
Never said it "defines" toughness. And I don't think your color has anything to do with my comment. Nice try though.
I don't think that's really true. You're seeing more of the old logo around because now that they're official throwbacks they have more stuff available to sell and for the players to wear. Hell I still see some players wearing the 90's logo sometimes. Players that weren't even here when we wore it.
There are so many people that didn't like the new look at first who now like it. It's just going to keep growing the more we wear it and the more we win in it. Always happens like that. People don't like change and they rebel against it, then the change grows on them and they get used to it. I've seen a lot of comments about the Bucs new uniforms in the same vein.
That's true, you didn't say it, you did, however, certainly imply it. You did so by saying the color reminds you of a powder puff league and then acting like anyone who doesn't agree with you is soft.
People who complain about our name, colors, and logo being "not manly enough" or how we're "not intimidating" are the ****ing worst. I'm sure opposing offenses take Cam Wake and Ndamukong Suh less seriously because they're wearing bright colors. I bet Bryce Petty got back to the sideline a few weks ago and said "Man, I wasn't expecting that kind of punishment from two dudes wearing those colors."
I figured I'd put this here: Final breakdown of uniforms this season -New Aqua over white - Two times. Record 2-0 -Throwback Aqua over white - Two times. Record 2-0 -New Aqua over Aqua - One time. Record 0-1 -White over aqua. Nine times. Record 5-4 -White over white. Two times. Record 1-1 -Orange over Orange. One time. (and hopefully the last) Record 0-1
As someone who adores the white over aqua uniform as much as I do, I wish it would just be an away uniform. I still like the all white look for home games if we're going with the white jersey. If it were up to me, I'd do: 4 home games: All white 2 home games: throwbacks 1 home game: aqua over white 1 home game: All aqua Then white over aqua for all road games, unless we're forced to wear aqua jerseys. Then I'd stick with the classic aqua over white.
