Only an ******* would complain about Landry and tout Moore as an upgrade over Tannehill.

You know, Marino was never good enough to win the big one. I heard rumors he snorted coke. Don't get me started on how many interceptions he threw!

"bro, Landry is like the best WR in the game bro...he has like all those receptions man"

Some of you make some of the most ridiculous homeristic "evaluations" as I have ever seen. Some of you have no ability to be an objective fan.

And you know what? That's OKAY....this is a message board and this team is playing in a playoff game tomorrow and I think will be playing many more in the near future. Good time to be a Dolphins fan. Be excited!

    However....

You guy's are jumping all over a poster who called Jarvis a top 15 WR in his opinion? Really? Is that some insult?

Just because every player you guys like you call elite or top X at their position doesn't mean every else should follow suit with that opinion. You can still be a tremendous fan of this team yet have the ability to call a spade a spade.

    You joke....but its coming...guaranteed.

So far, roughly the same contingent (give or take a poster or two) have downplayed/denigrated/defecated on Thill, Suh and now Landry. Potential Dolphins these "fans" are going to target next:

    - Ajayi
    - Tunsil
    - Jones
    - Howard
    - Gase

And they're going to do it like they always do....insult everyone that disagrees with them and inflate and/or mischaracterize the opposition's statements while backtracking and moving goal posts.

I know right! I flatout said he was in the 10-15 rank and then their whole lives suddenly crumbled beneath their size 6 feet. I mean c'mon he is clearly the greatest WR in history bruh.

The fact that they're even bringing up Moore/Tannehill further illustrates the agendas for certain posters on this site and the tainted "enjoyment" they're experiencing as we navigate into the first playoff game in almost a decade. It's sad. The type of behavior you get from guys who grew up on participation ribbons. Nothing we can do about it though. Trolls gonna troll whenever they don't share an opinion or can't read.

The initial post that drew criticism was a post that said nothing about him being a 10-15 receiver, but rather downplayed his play, and called him a "volume receiver."

    Stop acting like a victim.

There's no chance of reasoning with this person. I wish this person would go back to the site he left or got chased away from and take his buddy.

The whole Anti-homer sentiment is ridiculous when you decide you are going to visit a teams fan site full of diehards.

Most fans like to be positive about their players and some are a little delusional, yes. But the people that feel the need to put these positive fans in their place are worse. They are just flat out *******s.

Yes you do. Hence your diatribe about me considering myself an anti-homer. That's that state of my fanhood. Would "Non-Homer" hurt your feelings less? Regardless, if you wish to discuss it some more, feel free to send a PM. Last I checked this thread was about Jarvis Landry.

He is not a top ten guy come on. Rock did say he was a volume guy and you posted volume stats except for the 20 yard catches. He's a great receiver and you kill to have him. He's a huge asset. But he's not a top 10 guy. I'll take a look at a list of WRs but it's gotta be more than 15

That last point is an indictment of our FO more so than some sort of award for Landry.

Other teams have 1400 yard 10 TD guys.

Ours is a high volume low TD guy. We need Parker to be the best thing since Ricky.

Landry is our best wr. But he shouldn't be is my point. If Parker and stills we're our big play guys with Landry underneath doing what he does very well, we'd be unstoppable.

Love Jarvis. But I'm gonna hold off on the top 10/15 stuff until he has another really good season. His first two years here he was fine, solid. This year he was awesome. Hope he keeps it up.

Can you imagine if Landry was on NE? Or on Atlanta? Or GB? Or Oak? Dude would have crazy numbers.

I don't think you realize what you're really indicting here.

Those offenses (specifically NE/GB) would exaggerate numbers for even lesser players than Landry, so it goes without saying. What if you put Julio Jones on another squad? He's still a gamebreaker.

Oh and the Edelman comparisons are off base. Edelman has superior change of direction and quickness. Landry tougher to bring down. Different styles.

Uh, pretty clearly what I'm saying, is that on another team, his numbers would be better, and everyone would be talking about how great he is.

He'd be going to Pro Bowls just like Welker did in NE.

He was drafted in the 7th round IIRC. Not really an awful pick, he had some definite arm talent.

It's not your typical zone run team - hence being a league leader in big plays. The focus on the run to get drives going shouldn't be the reason for Landry averaging 3-4 touchdowns a year. If so, Kenny Stills wouldn't have 9.

He's already getting a lot of targets. Are you saying he would get even more on another team? Which team do you propose would be able to expand on the targets he gets now?

I'm saying that, much like Welker, I'd expect Landry to get 1,000 yards, and probably 6-10 tds a year, and go to multiple pro bowls.

If he's a Top 10 WR then why isn't he already getting 6-10 TD's a year? Gamebreakers are putting up 10+ btw.

It's not a Wes Welker situation but it's certainly not a Davone Bess one either.

Yeah, definitely one of the dumbest arguments in awhile. Landry is probably my favorite dolphin. It's not always about the stats.
The guy plays with more heart and toughness than just about anyone out there. He fights for everything. He gets several key first downs just due to his will and toughness. He has great hands. He catches the tough balls in traffic. He's a tough blocker and likes to lay his licks. Just look at the TD run where, along with some help from his teammates, drove like five guys into the endzone. That's will and toughness and fight or whatever you want to call it.That's just one of many. He's just f'ing awesome.

Some of you are smoking crystal:

He deserves an award just for knocking the snot and helmet off of that Jet player.

I'm really sorry, but all I can say is f u.

He's an all around awesome football player. Check out that reverse. He lays guys out. He's f'ing awesome!!

I remember when we drafted him.

A lot of folks weren't high on him. Glad we did draft him. He's the spark this team needed at the time he was drafted.

One thing I saw from him is his willingness to block, and block hard (even with his slight frame). He's one of the most physical players out there on the field. There's a little bit of Walter Payton in him (no, he's not Walter Payton....just the physicality aspect I've seen in those older NFL Films).

One of the things that jump out immediately is how damned shifty he is in space. He's gotten better. His offseason workout program is definitely on display on Sundays.

While he's not a TD machine, the ones he makes are mostly all him. He earns his TDs. Prime example is the one against the Patsies when hie hit a LB and still got in.

    I'm glad he's here!
