Fourth Straight Playoff blowout, but at least we have company this year

Every road team got blown out this year. Miami actually lost by fewer points than the Giants and Lions. Still sucks, as we've watched them get dominated in 4 straight playoff losses to the Raiders, Ravens x2 and Steelers. I didn't think we'd win with all those injuries, but hoped it would be a close game because so many people said the Fins didn't belong which was frustrating to hear. Still won't take away from starting 1-4 and going to the playoffs unexpectedly.

At least we have a good excuse this time - countless injured starters. We have a solid core of a team, but the Dolphins need depth. I can trust Gase will know how to make this team have a deeper bench. I also hope our team can have a healthy season in 2017 - the injury bug was a killer.

Do people think we can improve our bench enough heading into 2017? I'm desperate to see a playoff win.

A lot of work a head. Starting with DC. Joseph won't last. Gace brought the culture now he needs to revamp the roster starting at LB the D backfield.

Yeah.. so much for that much advertised "cutting-edge" program for preventing injuries by hiring Wayne Diesel from soccer across the pond to be our Sports Performance Director.

Soccer's a bit different than the NFL I guess eh.

You can't prevent injuries in football. The teams that don't have as many or don't have as many to key players (like their QB) are just mostly lucky IMO. Building the system and the type of depth to sustain success that a team like New England has takes time but I think we can definitely do it. The league is not on our side, the "No-parity Football League" only wants its darlings to go far but we'll do it. Then they'll pretend they loved us all along.

It'd be one thing if we got rolled four straight years. But we're talking near decade gaps in time. It's like saying we've lost two straight AFC title games and the last one was 24 years ago.

This game... we actually competed for awhile. Got our feet and had a chance to make it close. But two turnovers in the red zone....

The 20 year rebuild continues. We've been rebuilding for an eternity and we still have a roster needing major upgrades.
Every year we all talk about the same needs and excuses for this team. LOL.

The key now is tannenbaum. Will we get more good players then we lose. If we do we are back in the playoffs and ready to make noise

I think he means more from a fan's experience than the football team/organizational perspective. For a fan to wait, get hopes up after a long drought, then get crushed dores take a toll because each successive time it's harder for the fan to get as excited.

I'll be excited based on how we look next year. If we look stronger than this year as we enter the playoffs, I'll be MORE excited.

Dating back to 1995, we're 3-8 in our last 11 playoff games, and each of those 8 losses was by 14 or more. The last time that we lost a playoff game and it was actually close was when we blew a big lead at San Diego following the 1994 season.

I'm 39 years old, and I was in high school the last time that a Dolphin playoff loss wasn't a blowout. The three wins were all nail-biter wins in the WC round from 99-01. But I believe that we're moving in the right direction under Gase. We not only have more weapons on offense than we've had in ages, but they're all young too. If we can stay healthy, I think that we're going to score a ton of points next season. The next step is to fill holes on the other side of the ball, but we knew that going into this year already.

I firmly believe that the Fins need homefield more than the average NFL team. We need to win the division to make that happen, though.

The big difference now is we have a good coach. Or what seems to be a good coach. We were never going to be a good team with changing coaches every 2-5 years.
