We won 10 games because of our offense and Jay Ajayi catching fire, along with a weak schedule which helped us down the stretch. The defense had very little to do with us winning 10 games. Vance did not make chicken salad out of chicken****. He made chicken**** out of chicken****. It was the worst defensive performance in franchise history. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Just to be fair, I would bet my life that if Tannehill had the exact same performance, You would be screaming from the mountain tops that he sucks and was the cause of the loss. Not much noise from you since we lost, Noble Roy.
Lol. Please, some here wanted him fired after the slow start to the season. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S5 using Tapatalk... ignore the typos!
Whoever that clown is called him a HORRIBLE DC, that is not the case. Do I really need to explain Nick Saban to you?
No it doesn't. You have 2-3 other threads to complain that our backup QB didn't play better than our starter...why keep regurgitating it here? It, along with certain posters (no not u) are why this forum is having issues.
Fin-O, in this thread, there are a couple of things being discussed, one of which is the last game. I'd someone is blaming Vance for the loss, then it follows that mentioning the turnovers is appropriate.
Oh, all of those I listed are worthless clowns. The list of horrible NFL coaches is huge. My point is that VJ will be on that list within 3 years.
Defense definitely initiated the loss. Putting a backup QB in a hole like that rarely has a positive outcome. The fumble at the end of the half, well, that sealed the loss.
Just before halftime it was 20-6 and we had the ball on their eight-yard line. That ain't over. Moore got hit and fumbled. He also turned it over on the next two possession. On the second turnover, the Steelers kicked a FG. After the third turnover, the Steelers had a short drive for a TD (aided by an incredibly stupid Lippett penalty) and it was 30-6. Then, it was over. Defense didn't play well (but got a lot better than it was in the first quarter), offense didn't play well, Moore was gutty and did some good things but -- three straight TOs when it was still (barely) a ball game. But the main problem was, Pittsburgh was just a better team than we were. On defense, we have a talent deficit, exacerbated by injuries. We need to be a lot better next year. But I don't think VJ is the problem. P.S. -- The horrible starts do drive me crazy.
Remember also that playcalling changes drastically on the Steeler side if we get back in the game by one score. I can't excuse VJ for the ****ty start - but he did make adjustments. The back started cracking on the 2nd fumble though and players were starting to mentally check out.
If people were saying Tannehill played great and this or that cost him the win then you would be right.
With 5-6 starters out, VJ managed to get the defense to an average level. Your poor grammar, misspelling, capital letters, and overall ignorance of what happened this season won't change the facts. Although, VJ is one of the hottest, if not the hottest, talked about man for vacant HC positions. Maybe you should call up the 4-5 teams that have reached out to him and explain to them what you know.
If not for the 3 fumbles it would have been a tie game a few minutes into the 2nd half. After the Steelers first 3 drives the Dolphins held them to about 150 yards of offense and 10 points through 3 quarters.
Only because the steelers dialed it down and started playing conservative once they opened up the big lead. Not because the defense was doing anything special. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
lol...Obviously cherry picking doesn't mean what you think it means. The offense ranked last in the points they scored this season. The defense ranked 18th in the points they allowed. If you think the offense played "a whole lot better" than the defense, I'm sorry, you're wrong. And not only are you wrong, but you're so mad about being wrong that you're on the verge of getting kicked off of the forum. In short...I've angered you. Me. A stranger on the internet as hurt your feelings. Again, go home. You're drunk and it's past your bedtime.
You wish I were kicked off. You are the one that started with the insults. We had a thousand yard rusher and a thousand yard reciever on offense, both tanehill and Moore had a passer rating over 90, whenever we won games it was because the offense caught fire, the defense never really stopped anybody all year except in poor weather games or when we playex against backup quarterbacks. This isn't that kind of site. You're better than that. If you can't be better than that, it would behoove you to choose your disagreements elsewhere. On a personal note; I've left two sites because of this in the years past. I don't want to have to leave a third.
He's really not better, though. He's been doing this since he got here. The mods, I assume, have probably warned him. If not he's falling through the cracks. If I was the reporting kind I could have reported half a dozen or so of his posts for insults towards a few people.
So you are just going to ignore the part were he called me a drunk first? Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
No actually, you are the first person I've directly insulted, in response to your initial insult. Stop acting like you are some kind of model poster you started with the insults don't act surprised when you get it back. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Wait.. at nfl.com/stats/team the offense ranks 17th in points scored per game at 22.7. The defense does rank 18th in points allowed at 23.8. This is all regular season of course.
I'm not defending that. In context, I guess he's saying you ARE drunk, not that your ARE A drunk. Which, I get your stance. Just, c'mon bro. You don't like Vance, we get it. I actually see your point. It's just obvious when someone comes to you with sound evidence of something inside the numbers, you're ignoring it or just stuck on your main point. It's keeping this thread going, but TBH, the offense isn't without it's faults, too. Why don't we talk about that? Maybe I'll start a thread about it and you can defend the offense?
All your posts: Anybody who thinks Vance Joseph is a good coach is just misguided, plain and simple. A moron. Right, like writers don't say stupid **** all the time. You should develop your critical thinking skills so you can think for yourself... Lay off that **** you are smoking man. If you cannot even admit that we have a very bad defense then there is no point in arguing with... Gtfo, so there is nothing wrong with the defense? What the f are you smoking man? There are more. It's like you don't understand that what you write here doesn't vanish...lol
1. The first paragraph calling someone a moron was not mine. Check your quotes that was another poster. 2. The second paragraph is mine but is not an insult. 3. The third paragraph about smoking something is mine I agree that was a little overboard. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Offense was slightly better than the defense in points, but way better than the defense in yardage. Overall the offense was much better than the defense this season that is plainly obvious to anyone who was paying attention and watched all the games as I did. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Not really. When the offense produced their average points (or more) in a game they lost only once this season. When the defense allowed their average points (or less) in a game they lost once. I will agree that the offense was more consistent, especially when the o-line was healthy. However, what the defense was able to do with half their starters injured was impressive.
