Per Joe Schad "The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of 12 players, including quarterback Brandon Doughty of Davie, to contracts. The other 11 players are: linebacker Lamin Barrow, cornerback Daniel Davie, tackle Jesse Davis, running back Storm Johnson, linebacker Deon Lacey, defensive end Arthur Miley, tight end Chris Pantale, running back Senorise Perry, tackle Terry Poole, defensive end Julius Warmsley and linebacker Brandon Watts. Doughty will presumably compete for Miami’s third-string quarterback position. Johnson, a UCF product, also finished the season on Miami’s practice squad. Warmsley played five games for the Dolphins with eight tackles and ended the season on the practice squad. Lacey has played the last three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadien Football League, posting 114 tackles and seven sacks." Wasting no time to start sifting through talent for gold, I guess!
Not unusual at all. Last year the Dolphins signed the German Football MVP around this time. Deon Lacey looks like the most interesting player on this list. Hope he's a diamond in the rough.
