Jordan Cameron - Stills - Jenkins - Sims Michael Thomas Rambo Dominique Jones Yates Butler Paysinger Branch Denney Bushrod Jordan Alonso Damien Williams Nick Williams Duarte (exclusive) Pitts (exclusive) Hull, Brendel, Steen (exclusive) Can anyone give me $ amounts in savings? Stills and Alonso are the ones that would make sense in keeping. Miami has an opportunity to upgrade their roster, knowing how the others were. Found this : http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article125397139.html so $63M maybe to spend? Minus $6M for picks
I'd like to know what savings could be for cutting Pouncey. Not saying I want that, and who could be a replacement this year?
Mike Thomas is your special teams captain so he's probably gonna get resigned... To bad Jenkins did not fulfill his potential..Damien is well thought of it seems.
We are going to have to make some tough decisions. The holes are glaringly obvious on this team and we can't be sentimental
Good choices, I would add Branch and Thomas to that list as well. Thomas obviously for special teams value and I feel Branch played well enough this year and we don't have much else to replace him with currently. Wake played outstanding this year coming back from injury but father time is ticking. If we signed a big FA or drafted a DE that would be nice, but we have more holes at LB that I would keep him and place a high priority on a stud LB in the draft.
Is Sims' productivity (lack of) based on the fact we need him to block? He is injury prone also. A TE like Bennett could be an x factor for us
Jordan Cameron - no Stills - yes Jenkins - no Sims - yes Michael Thomas - yes Rambo- yes Dominique Jones- no Yates- no Butler- yes, cause Gase likes him. Paysinger- no Branch- yes Denney- yes Bushrod-yes Jordan- no Alonso- yes Damien Williams- yes, cause they like him. Nick Williams no Duarte (exclusive) no Pitts (exclusive) no Hull, Brendel, Steen (exclusive) yes, no, yes
I go for Jack Doyle. http://www.indystar.com/story/sport...er-can-colts-afford-keep-jack-doyle/96361320/
that would be a major blow to us. he isn't always helathy, but when he is we were like 8-2 this season.
they will have to absorb 7.2 Million in Dead Money, but they will save around 24.5 Million in Cash over the next years too, Jacksonville has a boatload of cap, but they could save some more, if they get rid of him
I believe it was. He had game where he made some key plays and i keep thinking that we are getting him more involved and then theres nothing the next week. That might be because we needed him to block more or maybe just becuase TEs dont seem to be a big part of this offense unless the defensive gameplan keys in on other things we wanted to do. With the exception of the play action roll out to Gray and those guys(which i love) it doesnt seem like TE is a big focus in our system. Not up the seem anyway. With Bennet. Man id love to have him here. TEs always seem to kill us and ive been waiting for us to do them same. I thought Jordan was going to change things around here but that hasn't been the case unfortunately. Do you think NE will let him walk with Gronk having so many injuries and Bennett really killimg it for them? What would he command in this market?
Jack would likely come at a better price, but with Gase's connection to Julius you might be on to something.
I agree. Some rely on the TE alot, or some just have elite TEs that you cant help but get them the ball. Sims has never been a huge part of the game plan no matter the offense. RT17 seemed to like throwing the ball to Clay when he was here though. He has his best seasons as a Dolphin. Although i guess that was before Landry burst on the seen as the focal point. Good question. Do you think we would have a big change in TE production thats worth the financial investment if we had a guy like Thomas or Bennett? Is it the player talent, system or QB preference that limits the TE production for us?
I agree on the tough decision stuff, what to do with Albert and Tunsil is not easy one to project..but after that our holes are clear and we have the resources to fill appropo
