Interesting twist coming up soon, with teams being over the cap in 2017. This could lead to some surprise cuts, different than the available free agents already named.

    1. Philadelphia - $450K in cap space available. Leading candidates for cuts could be Jason Peters, Connr Barwin and Brandon Graham. Could be all needs

    2. Dallas - $17M over the cap. Romo, Tyron Smith, Witten and Sean Lee all could be cut or re-structured. There are some needs there

    3. Houston - $10M in cap space, but have to look at Hopkins soon. That could be 5 years $70M. Some deals to pay attention to are for Cushing, Brown and Kareem Jackson, all needs.

    4. KC - $13M over. Will they re-sign Berry. They could cut Jamaal Charles, and have huge contract issues with Houston, Maclin and Smith

    5. Baltimore - $500K available. Pitta, Dumerville and Mike Wallace all can be cut or re-done

    6. Jets $10M over. Clads, Revis, Decker, Sheldon Rich and Mangold all need to be looked at

    7. Jags $15M available. They need to free up money to sign Bortles, Allen Robinson and Telvin Smith

Dallas really can get under really fast with some restructuring. Like about 30 mil under.

Brandon Graham, how has that guy done? I thought he would be a beast coming out of college.

No one is done. Just re structure or cuts because of cap

If Albert ends up getting cut like some have speculated, I wouldn't mind Peters as a replacement at the right price, unless of course Tunsil moves to left tackle from guard.

Romo should be gone, but I can't see the other trio going anywhere. Written will retire a Cowboy, Sean Lee has been one of the better 4-3 linebackers this season, and Tyron is a premier left tackle. They'll likely do what the Cowboys do best, restructure and pile the cap hits onto future seasons.

Boy I bet they wish they could revisit that decision to sign Osweiler!

Yikes! Going to be honest, if it makes sense cap wise I could see them moving on from Charles, Smith and Maclin.

Might not be pretty but Foles showed to some extent he could function as the Chiefs QB. Ware, West and Hill can all offer a rushing threat. And receiver wise they can get better value than Maclin's contract gives them.

Not sure I see Pitta or Wallace going anywhere, but Dumerville's production has gone down so he's a likely candidate to go.

In a sense they could do with blowing this team up. They need to sort out a number of positions and rebuild.

Mangold could be an interesting addition. Move Pouncey to guard, he made the pro bowl in 2014 after playing the season at guard. An interior of Tunsil, Mangold and Pouncey could be appealing.

I doubt they rush into a decision with Bortles. It's still up in the air whether he's good enough or not.

Robinson should get paid, though the one I'd be interested in seeing what they do with is Marqise Lee. They've already paid Allen Hurns, if they pay Robinson, they'll likely have to let Lee walk. He finally got healthy last season and had a break out year, if he builds on that in 2017, they'll have a tough decision to make with him or Hurns.

Telvin could be a cap causality. They've got talent at linebacker and with more high draft picks they could continue to build depth. Decent player if available.

I hear Julius Thomas could be cut. Not sure what cap effect is. Miami may have had a lot scrubs this year but are in a great cap situation. With limited picks and little talent, would like for them to spend smart, linemen and linebackers

What I'm curious about is this: which teams do you think have already conceded the 2017 season, terms of being smart with the cap and building towards a better prospect in 2018? I think teams that can do that, at least privately, are smart.
San Diego, in my mind, is a team that seemingly needs to rebuild. The Chicago Bears are clearly going nowhere in 2017. I could see the Lions sliding back, too. The Jest are another team that may need to take a big step back to move forward.

Regarding the Jags: Marquise Lee really jumped off the screen when I watched his college tape. What about letting Stills walk if we can get Lee?
