I venture hes going to get a nice contract though...especially a team like Denver ...a team who feels a healthy Romo gets them to the Super Bowl

Matt Moore. There was no drop off while he played.

    In turnovers there were.

I'm not saying that MM played horribly, but I bet if MM had to play 8-10 games instead of 4 his play would have mirrored his career averages. And that is, a guy who fumbles way too much and who throws way too many INT's.

    Indeed.
There was a drop off but Matt Moore is clearly the contingency. And I'm okay with that for now. Any team needs to be constantly on the look out for QB talent, and the Dolphins should be seeking to bring the best QB talent they can. But unless Tannehill is done for we're fine at QB for now.

It was his first four games so it's possible he would have played better. How was Tanny doing the first part of the season? I seem to remember a crap ton of INTs

Fair point... But RT's INT rate was higher than his career average (2.5 career vs 3.6 first 4 games). MM's wasn't (3.7 career vs 3.4 4 games)

    MM is what he is...

Yeah, I kind of agree on that. I don't know, these guys still think they can play. Really odd situation. Not really a fan, but I kind of feel bad for him.

Whoever gets Romo will probably need someone who can pass. How good is your arm?

While I think a healthy Romo is much better that Tannehill.... He'll cost too much and there's no guarantee he'll stay healthy. Plus he's my age. He'll be 37 when the next season starts. I know QBs can play into late 30's (or more), I just don't trust his health.

If Romo can't stay healthy behind the best Oline in the NFL, why does anyone think he could stay on the field behind our line or anyone else's line? I hope he ends up with the Jets or Bills, then they can invest hugely in Romo and spiral downwards after he gets carted off the field. Then they blow their chance to get the next great young QB

He will look good playing 4 games a season. His body is breaking down. It's a bad investment.

We don't need Romo we have too many other needs.

Lets see if our new head coach picks a QB later in this draft...I believe this draft will be very telling.

Romo is elite when he plays, his stats are fantastic,if i were dallas i would let dak have a season learning from Romo and then let him take over again..Prescott is good but he is still very raw.

No, not in a million years, never. Draft a QB to groom in like the 3rd or 4th round.

I woudln't be surprised to see this. Third may be a bit too early as we have too many holes to fill in other key positions, but I fully expect to see one drafted, unless they have some conviction in Doughty and the progress he's made, and I think that may be likely. I'd even venture to say the drafting of a QB may have something to do with Matt Moore's status. While I think he's safe, if they can get a good pick for him it may not be a bad idea. Doughty may be the key though. Maybe he's the guy Gase wanted to develop.

I know I'm bouncing around a bit here, but I think Tannehill is indeed safe. I'd be surprised if Gase though doesn't tab a QB for himself to add and grow somewhere in the draft. That also could be Doughty. Moore is also a piece in this depending on his status, although I have a hard time believing they'd move him after the way he performed after Tannehill went down. Although, that's another interesting point, because now, his trade value has never been higher. So it's a bit of a stretch, but we could see Moore moved for a pick, Doughty elevated to backup, and a late draft pick to groom. However, we could also see zero changes across the board at QB, and I do think that's most likely.

There's no way they do that. Dak showed far more than enough to stay the #1. He spent all year learning from Romo as it is already. Just because the guy was injured, doesn't mean he was dead and not around helping out. I'm sure he was there, much like Tannehill was hanging around after he got hurt.

"The way it reads you would think Miami was coming off a 3-13 year. Did I dream that 10-6 season and playoff game?"

Maybe because we played like a 3-13 team the last 2 weeks of the season, and our defense played like the worst defense in Miami Dolphins history this season? Maybe because we barely beat every opponent (every win we had except 1 was against sub-500 teams) except a Jets team that lost 41-3 the week after we played a tight game with them until late in the second half?

Dak Prescott played better in that playoff game than he had played for weeks. After the first 5, 10, 15 minutes it because obvious there was no need for Romo that day unless Dak got injured.

All it takes is 2 teams to be intereted.

Not saying it is liely but we live ib a world where Osweiler is a n$17m a year QB.

A team trading for Romo would only be responsible for paying his base salary, which is $14m next season.

Right but that contract was based on hope. He was a young quarterback who made some nice throws in Denver they thought they could further develop.

    They were wrong.

Romo had plenty a chances to win behind the best OL in football. He is not that good of a QB .A rookie beat him out of his job and we are not talking about a Manning here.I would rather take my chances on Tanny improving.
