    wanna bet? :hi5:

...but the bottom line is we own him cheap and he has value. Had he got some quality reps that last four games he "may" have had some real value in trade. Now that he dropped the rock and was injured on carry number six his only value, imo, is lining up here. Even his "conditional" value.. and that is only kind we will get, is now negligible. Lords knows it pains me to say these things, because I want the loser outa here, but he could cheaply solve a real problem and allow us to spend our assets on making the offensive line better, therefore reducing the effect having our number one back going down less significant.

I would think that is exactly what needs to happen for this next season at the least. Don't beat up the just repaired knee to bad

hahaha, I was stunned we hadn't seen it already in this thread.

I dunno know, Parcells might just clear the decks and purge Ricky to be done with the distraction. Tuna philosophy seems to be Running Backs are a dime a dozen and Rb's that aren't durable aren't worth messing with, RW has missed time in the CFL and the NFL due to injuries so maybe it is Adios Ricky...

As far as the "draft McFadden contingent" Tuna has made it abundantly clear that no Running Back is worth a high pick....

As sad as it is to say, he might be our best option.

Very good point, I wasn't thinking in terms of protecting the knee, I was thinking more of not wanting Ronnie to take a step back in his development.

    In 3....2....1.......;)

As much as it pains me to say it, you're right. That's what durability is all about; the difference between getting banged up and getting knocked out of action. Thus far, Brown has been a guy that is prone to being knocked out of action.

The good news is that many backs have struggled with injuries early in their career and have then become more durable with time. A good example would be Ricky Williams.

Also, I would like to add that not many backs are capable of playing 16 games year in and year out.

Right he wont be Back to his old form in 08 but he can still paly well IMO

And Running Backs take alot of punishment, its seems to be rare that you see a Running Back who is injury proof.

and he was trying to make a tackle on an INT return, thanks Cleo you piece of ****

This team is at least 3 years away from becoming good again.
And thats assuming we have 3 solid offseasons

Um guys, let me clear something up: Ronnie Brown's hand injury in '06 was not caused by getting his smashed into a helmet. It was caused by getting his hand caught in a player's facemask and getting twisted, thus the spiral fracture.

i am glad a lot of people here are now showing ronnie some respect, ronnie was having an LT type season this year, showing us dolphin fans. the media and the NFL that ronnie is the real deal and an elite running back

ronnie's injuries have been just bad luck, stiff arming a guy and having his hand get caught and now trying to make a play on a pick

i think next year the best choice is ricky and i dont trust him but i dont see any other choices, julius jones would rock but he is going to want too much money, if chatman wants to stay that would be great and add more depth

the phins should use booker also since he can make plays
