I rewatched parts of the Rumble.. there was a half *** elimination done between Corbin and the undertaker..

Corbin had the Undertaker cornered, dominating him, but the script was running late i guess so Taker just grabbed Corbin by the neck and guided him over the rope to get the spear from goldberg on time. Lol just come on...

As far as Rollins goes, instead of having the distraction on Raw, he should have been in the Rumble and Triple H could have jumped in the Rumble uninvited, pedigreed him, and someone, like Jericho, could have eliminated Rollins from there and then start the Triple H vs Rollins storyline. Kind of like when brock gave goldberg an F5 in the rumble 13 years ago.

Yeah the Triple H idea would definitely work out better than Roman Reigns, which made zero sense and the WWE didn't even try to explain it. I don't get why Vince continues to troll the fans with Reigns there, imagine if they booked him to win the Rumble again. I expected Rollins to make an appearance at the Rumble, especially after Stephanie said he wouldn't be there but eh.

I mean I get why they had Reigns in the Rumble so they could set up a Reigns/Taker WM match but I think you easily could have just had Reigns run into the Rumble to get even with Braun and accidently eliminate Taker, something simple like that. Or have Jericho and Taker be the last two guys in the Rumble and have Owens come out to try and help Jericho, leading to Reigns coming out to even the playing field only to cost Taker the match. Either way would have been better.

I literally turned on RAW at 11:05 and show the Samoa Joe/Triple H/Rollins angle and really liked it. I thought it was really well done and made sense. The only problem is I'd much rather see a Joe/Rollins match at WM instead of Triple H/Rollins.

Also while having Joe be Triple H's heavy, can Smackdown get some upper card new bodies on that roster? RAW heading into WM season now has Undertaker, Brock, Goldberg, Triple H, Samoa Joe, Rollins, Reigns, Jericho and Owens while Smackdown has Cena, Styles, Orton, Wyatt and Ambrose. Big mismatch there.

I wonder if Joe vs. Rollins will be at the February PPV and then they will move Joe over to Smackdown to face Cena or Styles at WM. Although Meltzer said Cena wouldn't be involved in a big match at WM this year, which is surprising. A 4 Way of Orton/Bray/Cena/Styles would make some sense too but sounds like they want a Styles/Shane match for whatever reason.

Still blows my mind that the WWE is once again passing on a Cena/Taker match, but hey got to try once again to get Reigns over right?

Meltzer is reporting Goldberg is set to face Owens for the Universal title at the Feb PPV.

    Other news tibits from Meltzer:

Cena will wrestle a mid carder (possibly Ziggler or Corbin) at WM and there are discussions about an Ambrose/Renee Young vs. Miz/Maryse match.

Undertaker was pretty banged up after the Rumble match, his hip is really bothering him.

A lot of fans are saying Goldberg will have the belt to face against Brock at Wrestlemania... so we are going to give the belt to a part timer that is headed to retirement after Wrestlemania and he will hand the belt to the other part timer..

a random fact, as far as accesories goes, Goldberg doesnt carry so much variety of belts.

    WCW US Heavyweight Belt

World Heavyweight Championship belt (Flair's "Big Gold" belt) - WCW

World Tag team Belt (with Bret Hart, lasted a day before losing it to Nash and Hall) - WCW

World Heavyweight Championship belt (Flair's "Big Gold" belt) - WWE

So this would be just his fourth different belt in his resume if he does infact take the belt from Kevin Owens..

You get the feeling Jericho/Brock will get involved in the match to interfere though, but if Vince is thinking of main eventing Goldberg vs brock then maybe it will be a clean match and Goldberg winning.

Wouldn't be the first time, ie The Rock (c) vs Cena. Taker, man, just retire. Guy needs a full hip replacement. Enjoy the rest of your life. I think its safe to say Bray wins Chamber and its Bray vs Orton for the title at WM?

Id love to see Jericho vs Owens at WM for the title, but thats just me.

Having a part timer hold the WWE title with the brand split could work IF there's an end game and someone is going to get the rub from either Brock or Goldberg.

I actually think not having the champion wrestle at every RAW/Smackdown makes the title more meaningful and makes those PPV title matches mean something special.

Damn that sucks for Rollins. Storyline wise it could make Joe into a bigger star/heel and Rollins an even bigger face when he returns. Wonder how the WM card will change now and if Triple H will even wrestle at the event.

FWIW Meltzer said Rollins is being evaluated to determine the extent of the injury, so it might not be a torn ACL. Or if it is the word isn't out yet.

He is being checked out in Birmingham. No confirmation yet, but prepare for the worst. And that would SUCK big time for Rollins. This match has been shelved through one Wrestlemania already. If it has to happen again, and Seth is looked upon as unreliable due to injuries, you might start to see him be marginalized on some level.

If Rollins is hurt, I have Joe turn on HHH during RAW.

They're both in the ring, HHH goes on and on about Joe being the next face of the authority to keep ORDER in the WWE.

Joe kicks HHH, muscle buster to him, gets on the mic and says "Ive seen what you do with your cronies when you're done with them. Throw them aside like scraps. Well I wont be the next Rollins or Owens.....I am my OWN authority...and I'll keep my OWN order around here!"

Set up Joe/HHH mania, then possibly Balor/Aj cross promotion match for mania.....if not, then Balor can be Rollins replacement possibly? Who knows. Sucks for Seth.

I think it all depends on who Joe was scheduled to face at WM before the Rollins injury. Otherwise I'd personally go with Triple H vs. Shane McMahon winner gets complete control over RAW and Smackdown and AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe instead. WWE, especially Smackdown, is really light on heels I'd hate to turn Joe so quickly.

Early word from Meltzer is Rollins will be out 8 weeks which would literally be the weekend of WM.

The WWE RAW Divas Title match right now is scheduled to be Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha vs. Nia Jax.

Rollins out 6-8 weeks with MCL sprain. Possible to return for mania.

Rumored matches for mania are as follows:

    Seth / HHH *
    Taker / Roman
Goldberg / Brock for Universal Title
    Jericho / Owens
Orton / Wyatt for WWE Title
Fatal 4 way for RAW womens title: Charlotte / Bayley / Nia / Sasha
    Big Show / Shaq
Cena & Nikki / Miz & Maryse (Possibly including Cena legit proposing to Nikki to close and rumored Nikkis final match)

Obviously rumored Aj/Shane would suck, but the McMahons have to feature somewhere of course. Also Dean ****ing Ambrose the current IC champ left out at the moment, when he's carried smackdown all year. Its frustrating. Also no mention yet of Becky and the smackdown womens title, the tag titles, or Samoa Joe and Balor (who is rumored to be back early march)

    Thoughts?

The Smackdown Women's title match as well as tag title matches, cruiserweight title match, and Andre battle royal will probably be on the 16 hour pre show. I bet they have another IC title Ladder match which will include Ambrose. I really don't understand the appeal of Big Show vs. Shaq in 2017, it should have happened 10 years ago.

Really though if you think about it, Smackdown doesn't have a real direction heading into WM. There's no obvious feuds or matches which is a shame and again more proof that RAW is clearly more important.

Theres a rumor that Brock vs kevin owens has been booked already for March 13 for the universal title, that date is the Smackdown Live event in madison square garden.

So i guess the february payperview will have brock interfering and goldberg losing to Kevin owens, and goldberg will return the favor in madison square garden.

These scripts are read so easily, no surprises ever..

Brock costing Goldberg the rumble, Goldberg costing Brock the undisputed title against eddie..

Joe was great on the mic tonight, and is fun to see he, Reigns, Strowman to end the show. Funny thing is, their building all three of those guys strong, and have future stars there, but they're setting them all up to potentially face part timers. Wish they'd just ride these guys and make super stars out of them so they have a future.

I actually wish they didn't have Joe wrestle last night or on RAW yet. Have him wrestle for the first time on the Feb PPV to make him seem more special. After he signs the contract have Triple H say how special Joe is and if you want to see him you're going to have to get the WWE Network, just something small like that goes a long way.

Yeah I didn't care for the way that match went, especially how it ended. I probably wouldn't have booked that match to begin with because it's a no win situation as you need to make Joe look strong but also keep Roman strong too. But hey that's the WWE in 2017 in a nutshell with the 50/50 booking and they wonder why they can't get anyone over.

Ive noticed Brock has been active in house shows and actually wrestling in them (against Big Show).. i wonder why that is.. he seems like the kind of guy that would stay home if hes not booked to appear on raw or a ppv

He also appears after Raw several times now against big show and F5's him

He does the house shows because he's paid to do them. Why the WWE has him doing them instead of appearing on live TV is a good question though.

They have him doing house shows to boost attendance. Simple as that.

Vince McMahon said on a conference call today, that the WWE may be having some stars cross brands to help keep interest in the brand split (that he said is doing extremely well). He specifically mentioned Roman Reigns as an example of someone who could move brands.

So, don't be surprised if Roman is shifted to Tuesdays after WM.

Yeah I mean I think that's obvious. My question is if it really helps that much compared to how much they pay him for the house show. Basically is it cost efficient for them to have him do them.
