    SPOILER

"Ryan Tannehill, who missed the last three regular-season games and the postseason because of a left knee injury, is healed and will be available for the start of the team’s entire offseason program. He will not will not have surgery to reconstruct the knee.

Numerous sources with knowledge of Tannehill’s recovery from a partially torn ACL and grade 2 sprained MCL say the Miami Dolphins quarterback weeks ago passed a battery of tests that determine the stability and functionality of his knees and that he is now ready to go.

Even better for all involved, these sources insist, is that Tannehill will not be any more susceptible to a future ACL tear in his left knee following his completed rehabilitation than if he’d had a reconstructive surgery.

Tannehill, pronounced healed by team doctor John Uribe and with a concurring second opinion of respected surgeon Dr. James Andrews, will be participating in the team’s conditioning program in April, OTA days which begin in May, mini camps after that, and training camp which is supposed to begin in late July.

Coaches, and specifically head coach Adam Gase, will reserve the right to manage Tannehill’s work load but the player will be fully available as the team wishes."

Relieving for sure. I'm interested to see what comes of the knee brace. I remember it snagging the turf when he slid during his rookie year.

That happened to Brady in the Super Bowl. I don't recall RT wearing a knee brace...

Nice, I expect QB17 to continue to grow with a real H.C in Gase and expose all the fools who have trashed him over the years. Like that tool Big-O who once said Doughty has a higher ceiling than RT. Personally, I'm just glad we aren't stuck with a soon to be 32 year old chocking dog for a QB in Melty Ice. That must be tough lol, I always felt/knew he wouldn't be able to deliver when it counts.

Miami must address insurance this or next year. With limited picks this year I doubt it

He definitely did.. though it may have only been for a preseason game or two. I remember Matt Moore giving him **** for how he slid. Pretty sure it was on Hard Knocks.

The ACL still being partially torn is something that's always going to be hanging around this kid from now on.

Good to see him back though.

He has been a pocket passer his whole career I don't see anything changing.

    Slightly left of center
Even if you are one of RT17s many, although fewer every year it seems, detractors, you have to respect the MAN.

What do you mean by "hanging around"?

I think he's saying that it stays with him for his entire career. The partial tear will always be there despite healing if that makes sense. I partially tore my ACL back in 2004 in a fall on a construction job. I'm no super athlete, but I do work out with regularity and played in a basketball league from 2005-2009. It has never been a deterrence, but the doctor did tell me that without surgery it will always be there, and that it may be uncomfortable when I get a lot older. Being 21 at the time I said FU to surgery and just rehabbed the Hell out of it. Works fine, first few years every now and then it would buckle or scare me, but it's fine now. Just my personal experience.

Let me add that obviously he will have to really take care of it. Stetches, riding bikes, things like that.

Yeah, 10+ years ago treatments were a lot different. Nowadays, and with the stem cell treatment RT received, it's quite possible that his ACL regenerated (or will in the near future) nearly completely and didn't just heal with scar tissue.

I've read some comments elsewhere about what the cutting edge medical stuff is now, and I would not be shocked if the ACL is 'good as new' at this point. The level of medical treatment for NFL players is so far beyond what the average person could get.

This is almost true, occasionally he finds himself outside the pocket, but your right I do consider him mostly a pocket passer.

    He's a tough bastard though
