Way different comparison. Taking Revis on a prove-me-deal, one year, incentive laden could produce a highly motivated player, that can scoot out here next year when he could command a multi year deal. No way at 32 he is done

    No, he's done now.

You cannot have a player that is 31, injured and out of shape. Those are 3 strikes that prove he's done.

Paying for a name instead of talent is a sure fire way to destroy the team. Revis used to be great. He isn't even good anymore and he's afraid to even tackle.

Revis Island has been sinking into the ocean and now all thats left to see is the tops of the coconut trees.

Revis island is now just a sand bar.

I'll take my chances on a year deal, incentive laden. He could be motivated

    To what end?

We already have our starters for the year, I doubt we cut Max because of the 5 mil dead cap, and we won't be paying him 8.5 mil to sit on the bench, and we don't need him to be a 1 year progress stopper for X.

So whats the point? Certainly not a 1 year prove it deal so we can then sign him to a multi year deal at 33, that's not going to happen, and an incentive laden contract for a back up CB? How does that make sense for him to sign?

I see no end game to signing Revis unless he's willing to take a back up salary.

    this is garbage.

He is done and quit on two of his last three teams. let him soak up someone elses playing time.

STOP BEING OBSESSED WITH NAMES. Successful teams dont keep bringing in ashed up reclamation projects. They draft well and shrewdly target young under-utilized, developing talent.

Would much rather sign someone young and hungry.

I don't think he takes it though. Even though his production slumped big-time last season, someone will grossly overpay the guy and switch him to safety. That may buy him another year or two in the league but that's about it.

Look at it this way- both Moore and Tannehill torched him this season...they both targeted Revis on 3rd downs. That's really all anyone needs to know about Revis's conditioning and ability at 31.
