Half the money, but probably more than half the stats. If someone's going to be a WR3 they should be paid like one. Devante is ready to be a WR1, IMO. With this disaster at safety, we can't afford to pay Stills at any realistic market value.
You've got to get the WR1, 2 or 3 designation out of your head in this Adam Gase offense IMO. It doesn't work that way. It's about the skillsets of the player, how they work with each other and work within the system to create opportunities for each other. The need for Kenny Stills in this offense is far beyond statistics IMO. I don't think Smith can bring that same element as Stills does. There is nothing to say Devante Parker is ready. He clearly has flashed the ability. Yes. But he's inconsistent, and still immature. How many times has Gase called him out now? He's clearly not getting with the program the way they want him to. He's got the potential, but if he's not going to take advantage of that, he might be the one on the outside looking in. Not Landry. Not Stills.
What has Parker done that shows you he's ready to be a #1 (even though that's not how our system works)?
I like torrey smith, he is just as fast and just as big as stills with better hands and better hops. Only concern is the concussion it was a nasty one and players are usually never the same after one of those. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk

When Tannehill gets the designations out of his head, I'll get them out of mine. However, in Tannehill's head, Stills clearly comes before Parker until the end of last season. Your point is good, though, so I support it. I'm still extremely worried about 3 things: Who's gonna block, who's gonna tackle, and who's gonna cover?
I think Parker was doing a LOT at the end of last season. He pretty much won us that game against the Rams at a time when we needed every game like it was a playoff game.
Let it be known that I was WAY ahead on this one. Doesn't mean I was right, just ahead: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/...les-snag-Kenny-Stills-for-half-the-price.html
Kenny Stills had like one bad play all year that I can think of. He might have had more, but none that I can remember. He had LOTS of good plays. Stills is more than just a 'fly-pattern' guy and his speed translates to quickness which translates to getting open and usually catching the ball, even being able to compete with the DB for a ball in the air. Plus, that 3 year age difference does have significant value as well. There's a good chance that Stills can still be valuable at the end of his deal. Smith might not even have value at the end of this season.
