I expect interferences galore. I expect Samoa Joe to get mixed in, Chris Jericho to show up, and in the end I expect Brock Lesnar to spoil Goldberg's celebration with a F5

That was a pathetically bad main event..

    Pathetic...

And whats more pathetic is that Ive seen Ric Flair had longer matches in his late 50s than a guy who is more jacked than half the roster in his mid 40s.. i mean come the **** on..

By the way that sets a new WWE record for a heavyweight championship match. 22 seconds.. and i feel like everyone lost

Cant even pick a single good match tonight... but if i had to pick one ill say it was the cruiserweight match between neville and gallagher.. everything else sucked

It was a pretty lame pay-per-view. The cruiserweight title match was really good, and I think they finally have a foothold with a few of the guys in that division (Neville as champ, Tozawa as a crowd favorite, Kendrick as the crafty, veteran heel, Rich Swann as the plucky underdog) and with Aries coming in, and possibly, eventually Gargano and Ciampa, things may start getting really, really good on 205 Live.

Goldberg winning didn't surprise me (or anyone), especially when the lower titles weren't moved around. Typically, if the undercard titles change hands, the world title stays put, and vice versa. The end game was always to get to Goldberg-Lesnar for the title, so it doesn't bother me that Owens lost. The psychology of the match was that Owens knows he has to avoid Goldberg early, let Goldberg tire out, and take over from there. Jericho coming down early made sense after Owens' attempt to slow down Goldberg before the match started, But even though everything seemed to make sense and flow on paper, it still came off as "meh" to me.

Charlotte losing on PPV is sort of a big deal, but really should have been saved for Wrestlemania, I think. Even if you didn't want to switch the titles here, having Charlotte win, should have been a priority. Having her lose at Mania would have made for a better moment. Oh well.

The rest was pretty terrible. Including Roman Reigns's shoes.

I was fine with it when he squshed Brock, it provided a lot of shock factor and built up a storyline... and brock okay'd it.

But that does nothing for Kevin Owens who had one of the better title reigns in a long time.. i have to imagine Kevin Owens had a huge issue with the finish yesterday. He has been the face for months now, has said before on podcasts he's been the enemy in the past when they would lay down the script of how the match will go, as he would argue them a lot. The Mcmahons mustve sweet talked him a ton for him to be okay with it. Thats how his title reign ended, on a record breaking squash..

Ive seen Goldberg have a longer match with La Parka...

I agree the PPV as a whole was meh. I can't get too upset about Goldberg beating Owens so quickly because I think it was reported fairly early in February that Goldberg was going to win the title and the WWE didn't want him wrestling longer than 2 minutes so he wouldn't get exposed. The 'match' itself was fine and booked about as well as it could be, it made sense and kept Goldberg looking like an unstoppable monster and Owens has an out as to why he lost so quickly because of Jericho. Whether him going into WM as Champion vs. Lesnar is the right decision, that's certainly debatable but unfortunately that's probably the best drawing match the WWE has right now unless they could build a time machine and have Taker never lose to Brock so it's Streak vs. Title Cena vs. Taker. But Goldberg/Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title is your WM main event.

I know a lot of people thought Lesnar was going to come out and screw Goldberg out of the title but in kayfabe terms why? Lesnar/Goldberg is already signed for WM so why wouldn't Lesnar try to help Goldberg so it would be a title match to boot.

I am surprised that Braun lost to Reigns clean. I figured the WWE wanted to keep both guys strong headed into WM but I guess they needed Reigns to get a big W to set him up for Taker. And yeah what was up with Reign's shoes? Did he lose his boots in the airport or something?

The other thing that surprised me was Charlotte finally losing on PPV. I agree with you Samphin, should have saved the loss for WM with Bayley finally winning the big match. As it is how did that match help either Charlotte or Bayley? Bayley looks like a weak face champion that can only win with Sasha's help and Charlotte's streak finally ended on a C level PPV.

Honestly i was scared for Braun.. that guy has terrible balance and when he was attempting to stand on the turnbuckle, he trembled on his way up... couldve hurt himself if he fell sideways or backwards..

I wonder how long Brock's title reign will be..i doubt they go back to back to back payperviews with a title change.. so i assume he will retain it for at least until summerslam.

So far, RAW has been better than all of Fastlane through the first hour and 15 minutes, alone.

    That Neville/Swann match was awesome.

It would be nice if Jericho came out with a win at wrestlemania.. and then maybe he can fake an injury and the US title would be in a tournament.

Jericho has done so much for WWE the past year+, he deserves his wrestlemania moment to say good bye to the fans

RAW was great - and it was in Chicago (home of CM Punk) anyone notice how HHH started his promo?

Obvious stab at CM Punk being in a lawsuit with WWE's doctor about his misdiagnosed Staph infection....

There will be a post WM draft, right now the WWE is leaning towards having whoever are the Champions at the time of the draft staying put and being able to protect a certain number of wrestlers per brand.

Also Triple H is going to work house shows this weekend and will be teaming up with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens to face Jericho, Zayn and Finn Balor. Smart money is Balor will wrestle Joe at WM and should be returning to TV shortly.

I sure hope so. Theres millions of people on his instagram and twitter begging him not to leave. And this guy played as a heel the past year.. hes had a ridiculous impact and if theres such thing as wrestling power rankinngs hes on the very top at the moment and walking away.

Theres going to be title changes galore in wrestlemania...

Enzo and Cass looks like theyre going to get the tag titles..
Brock is going to get the universal title
Charlotte may win at Wrestlemania, though maybe theyll leave it to Bayley so there is t much title changes.
Kevin owens is going to win the us title.

Randy Orton looks like he may get the world championship..

Hope the don't mess up the good stuff on smackdown right now. Talking smack is Miz's playground and everyone else is toddlers.....hes killing it. Cena/Bryan/Miz are insanely working well together....also anyone notice Bryan hint at returning, however not with WWE?

Said something along the lines when responding that he wont wrestle

"wont or CANT? Guess we will see in a year and a half"

Rumors of that being when his contract is up...Although I doubt it with a baby on the way.

I truly hope for his sake that he just resigns with the WWE and continues to be an on air talent, instead of risking another major injury or worse. I mean there's a reason why the WWE isn't letting him wrestle.

Meltzer said Bryan is gunna wrestle again.....which I hate for his health, I imagine NJPW or ROH

Also, WWE is being super careful due to wellness policy and the lawsuits and stuff....if this was 2003 Bryan would be in a match at Mania.

Chris Jericho and Finn balor teamed up together in a tag match yesterday at a house show in Buffalo.. that mustve been one heck of a tag team. Shocked WWE would let balor wrestle before debuting back on raw but eh

And triple h is in game shape.. pretty cool to see triple h doing a house show, this is a good way to get himself ready

    zero.

Mick was there to put the heat on HHH for Seth to shine. It worked swimmingly.

Aj styles being left with Shane Mcmahon at wrestlemania is a botch by everyone in charge of booking these matches.. seriously youre going to put a talent like that against Shane? What a waste.. getting sick of Shane being able to hang around with the likes of Undertaker and Aj.. ya he beat big show, with a giant assist from Test..

Though a few months ago they had shane vs brock lesnar at wrestlemania.. like really... lol...............

Dont get me started with cena and nikki vs maryse and miz.. all for a wedding proposal we have known about for months..

Cena and Aj Styles are high marquee wrestlers, they need a bigger stage than some lame wedding tag match, and the last mcmahon that can walk and isnt wearing a skirt..

Only smackdown matchup worth watching is orton vs bray..

I highly doubt Styles is too upset wrestling Shane McMahon at WM because it's going to be the featured match of Smackdown and he's going to get a nice little pay out for it.

Cena is leaving the WWE after WM to go film a few movies and won't be back for awhile so the WWE didn't want to put Cena in a high profiled match at WM. Cena is a part time talent now.

Obviously really really early to be talking about it but Meltzer is reporting that the current plan for WM34 is for Brock to wrestle Reigns for the Universal title in the main event and for Reigns to win it and replace Cena as the face of the company.

I mean...people complain when they are shortsighted. People complain when a plan is in place.

Comes with the territory, I guess.

I DO hope that Reigns beats Taker at Wrestlemania though, and cheats his *** off to do it. Low blows, grabbing tights, etc. Turn him full blown heel and let him explain it away that he did what he had to do to get where he needs to go. And he will do it again, and again, and again.

Meanwhile, Brock comes in once a month, destroys a challenger, runs some mini-feuds with the likes of Rollins, Owens, whoever. Gets the crowd on his side and ultimately leads to a showdown next year between a tweener Lesnar, and a heelish Reigns. Maybe even have Reigns viciously attack Lesnar late in the year to set up the Road To Wrestlemania storyline and even add stipulations like no one can cash in for his match (nice callback to WM31 and continuity), and Lesnar does the honors on his way out (contract expires next year).

It probably wouldn't work, but having parallel dominant monsters who seemingly avoid each other until their obvious collision course at WM, might be kind of fun.
