Hear me out. Was he with denver when gase was there? Assuming Clev cuts him and acquires Garropolo, he could come here cheap, right?

How bad must he be that Houston had to give someone a high pick to take him?

I think Gase could get the best out of him. But how good is that best?

He does make throws on a rare occasion you only see an Aaron Rodgers make....so the potential to be an outstanding pocket passer is there.

I just don't like immobile QB's and guys who don't move well in the pocket. Brock is just that.

Why in the world would we do that? I'm not the biggest Matt Moore fan, but we have him signed at a good price this season, he played well when needed last year, is tight with RT17, and were we to cut him, would have to eat about 60% of his contract as a dead money hit. On top of all of that, you could argue that Moore played better than Brock last year.

You come up with some gems here dirty... but hey, at least you're generating conversation! I'll give you that.

That being said, maybe he can, I guess anything is possible. I'm just not sure it's a logical decision for the organization unless they're able to get him cheap, real cheap. However, I dont see any of that happening.

Is the ongoing sentiment that they're going to cut him before the season even starts (IF they acquire Garropolo)?

I like how you're connecting the dots, DL, but I honestly think Osweiler has one last chance in Cleveland. And maybe not even that.

He had some pretty good talent around him on that Texans' team; offensively and defensively. He singlehandedly lost that playoff game for them. I have never seen a starting caliber QB make such horrible throws. At 6'7", you would think this guy wouldn't get balls batted down so much. Inaccurate throws. Thinks he has a bigger arm than he does.

I think when he came in for Manning, he was a wide-eyed youngster that simply played football and had some success. The "potential" was certainly there. And maybe Denver did some creative things to hide his inconsistencies.

He was given the keys to a pretty good car in Houston and he wrecked it.

Bringing in a guy like that is not what this team needs. HE will be the talk, instead of growing with the guys we have here. Too much distraction with no real overall value.

I think with what's going on here, he wouldn't fit in. We have our core guys. Guys are staying, and for cheaper. This is a sign that things are beginning to turn around.

I would prefer drafting and developing our own guy into a back up role. I don't see anything in Osweiler that warrants signing him even for cheap. He should have been able to put up average numbers with Deandre Hopkins and Lamar Miller but he stunk up the whole thing instead.

First of all, we have Matt Moore who is better and probably still cheaper.
Second of all, we have Matt Moore, who's a happy backing up his buddy THill,
and has the respect of the team.
Lastly, THill is our starter and it's hard to revive a QBs career from the bench.

There's zero benefit to starting a project like this in the midst of a championship push. If Tannehill has a setback, would you rather osweiler start week one than Moore? I don't think so.

We have Doughty and Moore, no need for him.

I can't believe someone was actually entertaining trading for Osweiler. LOL!

    God no.

Gase "protected" him. He is allergic to the vertical game and his lack of ability to process the speed of defenses in the NFL is the reason for his deserved mockery.

With no exaggeration, Doughty is a better quarterback.
