There's not going to be any holdout, the 1st 4 years of a players career is capped, Landry can't make any more money this year, hence no reason to holdout.

Wow...you just can't help but be wrong. lol...Even though Landry is there, he could have, and some will say had reason to, hold out.

    SO Cal
It's voluntary so not really a hold out if he didn't come. But he did show up. They should get a deal done with him sometime soon. You don't want him hitting the open market.

Well I'd hold off on a Landry themed man cave until he signs, he may not be here next year, unfortunately.

Really, lol, whats he going to hold out for? What is his bargaining chip? Trying to force a team to pay you more on your next contract? lol really?

Holdouts are for current contracts, the player is saying "I'm not making enough to take the field, you have to pay more for my services", Landry is not in that situation.

If he holds out the year, then this year didn't count, he loses the accrued season, and Miami still owns rights, so groundhogs day again next year.

There's a reason that no player has held out during their rookie deals since the rookie cap, it's because they have zero leverage, no check that, it's actually negative leverage, less than zero.

sometimes it takes just one time not to show up, to at least make your point. Jones did it last year

Holdouts are most certainly not just for current contracts. And yes, many players have held out because they feel that they are worth more than their current contract and demand a new contract.

If Landry decided to hold out the reason would be because he wants a long term contract and feels as if he has overproduced for his current contract. Of course there are pros and cons to holding out, for both sides.

Here's a really good article explaining reasons for and against holding out since the 2011 CBA.

There is nothing in that article that pertains to Landry, and nothing in that article suggested anything contrary to what I said, did you even read it? lol.

Overproduced for his contract? Are you serious? He's making as much as he can, period, rookie wages are capped for the first 4 years, so by virtue of that, it's impossible to "overproduce".

You need leverage to hold out, a player on their rookie deal has less than zero leverage, they have a tiny bit of leverage before they sign that contract, but once they sign it they are stuck until the 4 years are up.

Yes, but Jones wasn't satisfied with his current contract, so he held out until he got more money, Landry isn't in that position, there's nothing Landry can do about his current contract.

Well, they all know that, his contract is up at the end of the year, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Landry has only 2 options, either sign the deal offered, or go to FA, holding out isn't an option.

Yeah, lippett looks about the worst of all the players. He needs to get stronger.

Tunsil on the other hand looks like he is in top shape already.
