Harris evidently has had 2 labrum surgeries at Missouri also...I just know there's nothing overrated about Harris 2015 tape in terms of pure pass rush...but the medical the run d and poa play the test scores and the 4.8 at 253 are red flags

    R. Foster... I'll think he'll make it all the way to 22, and we have shown to be one of the most interested teams in him.

I want the best LB available. However, if Lamp drops and with Puncey's injury I would not be surprised to see the phins pick him up.

I truly hate the idea of investing yet another first round pick into the OL, but we've whiffed so badly on FAs and non first round OL piccks that it's still an area we need to upgrade, especially if there is any doubt about Pouncey.

Miami sends Pouncey limping up to the podium to announce the selection of Lamp, who will light the way for a great run game in 2017!

Sorry, not sorry, about the pun. :)

So where was he before this drug thing? Meaning where in the draft. Because you right, we have the people in house maybe that helped Tunsil.

I would not be shocked to see Jarrad Davis be there at 22. Hard to ignore how he would immediately be plug and play in our LB core freeing up Jones to do what he does best behind them. Can you say Pick 6 Flip???? We will have several quality options in my opinion, which in turn opens the door for the trade back as well. I think it's up in the air. We may covet someone but get an offer we can't ignore. I truly see us dropping back in the 1st round while picking up picks.

I changed my vote to Obi...only because I don't think Peppers falls to #22. If he does, I think it's Peppers.

just keep in mind you are picking at 22 every de has holes in his game...even Jordan willis who you and I both think will be the pick only attacks the outside shoulder and unless he develops a redirect counter tackles are sure to pick up on it and sit on it in the pros...although in the sub package provided we can get teams behind sticks that probably will be ok...he also doesn't redirect in space like he tested or showed at the combine on tape at least...if he did the mahomes cut back walk in td directly in front of him vs texas tech wouldn't have happened...he'd have wrapped him up and took him down...also where's 4.53 top end speed on his tape?

still the athletic upside with willis is hard to ignore and he fits the scheme to a t right down to even slanting down the de inside to occupy the play side guard and scraping the lbs to fill cleanly...

I just wonder if Miami can get him and still land a 3rd round pick in the process trading out...that would be some pull

IF all these guy's are on the board, it is Derek Barnett for me.

Let Wake and Suh mentor him and get his work ethic in tact? You have a Prow Bowler stepping in once Wake calls it quits.

Jordan's deficiencies are miniscule compared to Charles Harris. As for not having an inside counter that is kind of overrated cam wake has made his career out of just attacking the outside shoulder. And Jordan does have a great spin move and and a good bull rush back inside when the outside shoulder isn't there and he is great at chaining moves together.

It's true his athleticism doesn't show as much on tape as his combine numbers suggest but I think that is mostly due to a couple of things, 1. He is a long strider and because of that doesn't look like he is going very fast, he has what you call deceptive speed, and number 2 Jordan said himself that he played almost every snap all season and never got taken out which would make him tired and not able to show his full speed and explosiveness on every play.

I agree with the deceptive speed...but not having an inside redirect counter works more in the sub package when the qb has to take deeper drops...if you want this kid effecting the qb on early downs to help you get teams behind the sticks to take advantage of his long strider tools as you say and I agree with he needs one...

lets talk about something else though and that's the conference willis comes from...outside of joe mixon who would be giving fournette a run for his money as the top rb off the board if not for off the field that conference is barren of high level draft talent in this class...and further more the o tackle play in that conference is a joke...hell the ot play in this draft class is a joke too which needs to be taken into consideration with all these pass rusher inflated #s etc...but that conference coupled with senior bowl tackles that hopped out of a trash can to take advantage of one can see why willis grade isn't in line with the top 10 worthy pick test athlete...

I had him as a pick 54 target off tape going into the offseason process...he was one of the first edges I looked at...I figured given the ideal scheme fit he'd get a bump with us for that...then he goes out murders the senior bowl worth another bump and shreds the combine worth yet another bump but for me a top 50 grade jumps to about top 30 for those 2 things...

it's kinda like hasaan Reddick who was a top 35 or so then he kills the senior bowl jumps to top 25 then he murders combine jumps to top 15 although it needs to be said that unless he's a plan a sub rusher and at 237 he's light in the pants for it and lacks size top 15 is too rich considering that he's being drafted as an every down off the los lb and here's the kicker has never played a college snap at lb...I can't recall ever seeing a guy drafted top 15 to play off the los lb and having never played a snap on tape of it in a college regular season game...

that all star game setting where you limit what the defense can do schematically isn't exactly a great indicator...but teams are gonna take that leap I guess..as a wilb in a 34 I think it's the ideal fit and that's where the grade would be highest for me

I'm the lone passenger on the TJ Watt train... I think Barnett is not available at 22 or I would have picked him.
I have this feeling since a couple of days we take Watt to play linebacker for us.

Hope we dont take Harris since I dont see nothing exceptional in his game, I found him very inconsistent and I think he cant be trusted as an edge setter.

I would be OK with that. I think there is a very good chance he falls to the late second round however. If he's there at 22 Cunningham and Davis prolly are too and either of them has better tape right now I think. Peppers and Watt got that pedigree thing going too so Id be OK with that. We better figure out how to stop a running back and cover a TE or we are going noplace.

BC they haven't had a good WR since Moss. They have WR's that fit a system, till cooks. They keep getting TE's bc 1 keeps getting injured, the other murdered people, and himself, and their #2 TE has been lackluster ever since.

I really like this player plays with good physicality is a very good athlete but he plays the whole game from a 2 point stance...he has the awareness where i could project stacked sam and sub edge but miami doesnt do that...in that regard hes like tyrus bowser who i think is the ideal stacked sam and sub edge

Watt can get to the qb but the safest bet here is as a 34 olb either weakside or in time given the frame strong...i like the pop he plays with on contact

My pick would be Forrest Lamp if he's available at #22. It could be a move that helps solidify our line for years to come. There is obviously a belief that Tunsil can be our star left tackle for well into the next decade, we have a pro bowl center in Mike Pouncey, and a solid if unspectacular right tackle in Ja'Wuan James. If Lamp can do for us what Zack Martin has for Dallas, then Lamp is the ideal draft pick for us because it will help protect Ryan Tannehill and open running lanes for Jay Ajayi. The other thing it does is give us a player capable of playing any position on the O-Line, so if injuries occur to one of our tackles we have someone that could fill in if we believe he's a better option than our backups. It also gives us a player that could move over to right tackle if we don't re-sign Ja'Wuan James beyond his fifth year option. Though if we do re-sign Ja'Wuan James, then we have a line that will have four starters that should play together well into the next decade as long as they remain healthy, develop, and play to a good level.

IMO, the Pats, since 2001, have always had good to great WR's even if you don't include Moss. Edelman, Amendola, and Hogan are all very good WR's. I know it's kind of the popular thing to downplay their WR's and give all the credit to Brady, and he does deserve credit, but they are very good.
