McMillan has too many issues standing his ground and leveraging his gap as an interior run defender and could end up outside in the pros. He might have benefited from playing alongside a slew of NFL talent, but he's active and plays the game with good instincts. He has the potential to become an average starter in the league. This is from NFL scouts yeah we suck at picking once again!!!! I never want a player that has the potential to be average lol
You are funny. Raekwon will help us against the run and he is not bad in coverage. Can also rush the passer. You can pencil him in as our sam linebacker right now and he can be groomed to replace Timmons in the middle in a couple of years. He was on my shortlist of 2nd rd picks along with Josh Jones and Dion Dawkins. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
If you're going to post the negatives from the NFL.com scouting report and complain about them... why not post the positives too? I know you just like to complain, but seriously, just posting the negatives and saying we suck at picking... I mean, come on. Every god damn player on nfl.com has a list of strengths and weaknesses. Here's the positives if anyone cares, although, somehow I doubt that... Strengths Downhill movement after the snap is his norm. Understands angles. Can outpace pulling guards to the spot with his play quickness. Reads his keys and responds. Plays with good anticipation of lane choice by the runner. Attacks hands-first into blockers with good arm extension to keep his frame clean. Good zone-cover ability. Reads quarterback's eyes and slides into passing lanes. Has added additional thickness during his tenure.
Hallelujah, a LB and a rap star. I like this pick better than the first. Not that I'm hating on Harris, he could turn out to be a star for all I know.
Good ****, dog! I'd be okay with Desmond King next round too. Let's keep them WuTang references coming.
I'm not overly thrilled with McMillan being the pick here. We needed another LB, sure. It's not that I have anything against McMillan, for me this time around it's about who else was on the board... Melifonwu, Cunningham, Pocic etc. etc. I think this was a better scenario than yesterday was for a trade down. Feels like a bit of a reach here, but apparently he was #1 on their board at their pick, and they love him. I do like his quickness and instincts, should be interesting to see how he grows into the role. If we can get him on the field as a starter, and he's reliable this year, and he should improve the run defense, so then I can't really complain. Was maybe hoping for more. I'll do some more watching, and come around I'm sure.
Raekwon got me into good hip hop as a youngster when I heard him on gran turismo 3. Was always one of my faves behind method man and ghost.
You know, the one nice thing about the McMillan pick... we all did enough complaining about our LB's and defense this season, bringing in Timmons, adding McMillan, Kiko being back, Misi coming back healthy too.. then throw in Jones back healthy. Allen's ability against the run, add Harris and Hayes, and this defense should be alot better.
"I grew up on the crime side, the New York Times side Staying alive was no jive Had second hands, moms bounced on old man So then we moved to Shaolin land"
Well, hell... Let's just not even offer him his rookie deal then. He's already a bust. Hasn't been in the facility yet, had a lift, or a practice, or a single NFL snap... and he's a bust because you read his "weakness" profile on NFL.com, and anywhere else. Nevermind all the positive things that have been said by others, right? I'm not a huge fan of the pick, I thought we had better options, but this guy can play, and saying this guy is a bust, is just... not very intelligent at this point. You must live in a real, dark, dark world... Seriously, does the sun ever shine in your world man? Unreal. I'm just going to start calling you Eeyore

I love this tweet from Stills. Being drafted by the Dolphins isn't South Beach Chillin Mr. McMillan... this is a job. Im sure he didn't mean anything by it, but love Stills' response and sort of, putting him in his place.
One thing I'm seeing is intelligent and competitive players... Remind you of another team that never seems to have the "best" athletically, but always have smart and competitive players all around?
