Let's get it. Packers started off by picking Vince Biegel, LB out of Wisconsin. Jaleel Johnson, DT out of Iowa, went to the Vikings.
I don't think you're likely to see any strictly need picks with our last day, moreso guys that the Phins hope can develop and be depth down the road. I'd keep my eye on Grover Stewart from Albany State, Lorenzo Jerome from St. Francis, Trent Taylor from LA Tech, Ryan Switzer from North Carolina, Jamaal Williams from BYU, and my pipe dream would be Damontae Kazee from San Diego State.
What do you guys think about picking up Jake Butts late? could be worth it for next season ** Nevermind - looks like Denver took him 5.1
Right about now I am extremely pissed off we traded away our 3rd and 4th round picks for freaking leonte carroo. We really needed those picks this year. Bonehead move by the FO. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
There goes Jeremy Sprinkle and Corn Elder. I wanted one if not both. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Well, pretty much every guard worth a damn is now gone. There goes Jermaine Eleumonor. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
It's ok guys, open tryouts for OL positions are coming up when OTA's start. Everybody start working out
I agree, they could have used those picks in this draft. That being said, let's wait and see how our fifth-rounders bear out against the rest, they can wipe that misstep clean if they pick the right guys.
I think Lorenzo Jerome is a sleeper. He might last til the 7th round or UDFA but I'd consider bringing him in. Trent Taylor is also still on the board.
Looks like we swapped 166 for 164, and 184 for 194. So, moved up two spots, dropped 10 with a different pick. Still have the same number of picks. Nice work there IMO
That's pretty ironic you said bonehead because that's the exact word that comes to mind every time I read one of your posts.
for our last 2 picks i'm hoping for either a S, or another LB. I might even take a flyer on TE Bucky Hodges despite his B.Hartlineitis. Michigan corner Stribling is still there.
I think it's safe to say there will be a bunch of protests in ohio this year b/c of the bengals & browns 2 picks.
Well, they're definitely filling positions of need (with an emphasis on putting pressure on the opposing O-line/QB). Question is, are they drafting the right players? Only time will tell.
I'm sorry you are not a fan of logic and reasoning. There is absolutely no justification for giving up a 3rd, 4th, and 6th round pick for Leonte Caroo. Caroo is not going to see much of the field for the next 3 or 4 years unless we cut or trade one of our top three recievers. He ended up not even being 4th on the depth chart last year. Either way the ceiling for him in a perfect world if (and that's a very big IF) everything pans out is as a solid #2 reciever and a #2 reciever is not worth giving up a 3rd 4th and 6th pick for. I don't care how you want to look at it the Leonte Caroo pick was a stupid move. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
They saved the round by moving up Asiata was the last servicable guard left on the board and he wasn't going to make it to their original pick. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
I don't like the Davon Godchaux pick at all. The guy does nothing particularly well. He is not very big, short arms, not very strong (only 18 reps on the bench), gets pushed around a lot and double teams completely take him out of the hole. He is also not very fast or atheltic he moves around like a sloth, his motor is terrible as well. His only sacks came against scrub competition. Jarron Jones, Stevie Tuikolovatu, and Elijah Qualls were all on the board and would have beem much better DT picks. This is another instance where I don't know what the heck the FO or the scouts were thinking. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
WTF just happened? We traded away our 7th round pick to the bucks and they used it to pick stevie tuikolovatu which is the guy I preferred over the two other scrub DTs we just picked. Along with him Jarron Jones, D. J. Jones and Elijah Qualls were also all on the board and are better than freaking Davon Godchaux and Steven Taylor. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
