Just saw Jackson went down with a knee injury. We know one has to go, and depending on how severe the injury is, they might want one or do they bypass us and call Tampa about Simms? Thoughts?
I don't see them calling us at all... they know we're probably going to cut one of them and that they are going to get whoever that is... Of course, unless they are fixated on one guy that they REALLY want... and i can't see them being desperate to have either McCown or Beck... *maybe* beck... because he has more potential... but... Why try and trade when you know we're probably going to cut one of these guys...
Trying to find out. Said Ray Lewis hit it while he was scrambling. Can't imagine Killer went easy on his knee. Doesn't look as severe as they first made it out to be, it's on ESPNews now.
I think that bridge was more or less burned, but I guess if each are desperate enough it could happen.
If you have to go with Gus as your starter, you have to know you're only a head butt away from being in trouble.
Interesting tidbit from this article: http://www.bnd.com/508/story/436070.html I guess stranger things have happened.
I don't think they'd want Beck, they're looking at someone who could come in and start for them..they have their Beck in Jackson...but McCown has never been in a WCO, so that would seemingly rule him out unless Brad gets damaged or nicked as well... As it turns out, according to Jackson, it's more of a bruise than anything worse...
Well, my initial reaction is that somewhere in the vastness of America, Daunte Culpepper smiled into the darkness...his 700,000 gamble is about to pay off.. Second thought, I am really really glad we scooped up Pennington last week, the Vikes were one of the teams that may have had an interest in him. The Vikes spent big money on Smith (The KC DE) they are sort of set up to win now...
